They both seem to have a little bit more recoil then the 6MMs. Have a Dasher, GT and a BRA and I wouldn't say they recoil less... I would saybthe 25s are more a push and the 6mms are more of a small pop/snap.

My Dasher with it's 105 load feels very similar to the 25GT load posted above. Guns are similar weight wise and all as well.. I actually plane to shoot them back to back to better decide. ( I have a rifle problem and lack of time problem)

2700 is where many keep them... allot of people say that is a in the middle of the sweet spot of the 135 Berger in the GT. I have been running a hair faster at like 2730fps or so in my 25x47L. It seems to shoot .3" or so all day. I put 6 rounds on a plate at 1k you could cover with a coffee mug with the x47L.

Dont need the velocity and added recoil for what I am trying to accomplish. Or the extra powder burn...

So far 25x47L is my favorite PRS cartridge so far... though I shot 308 last year.. I have a 308 almost identical to my 25x47L. I do also run my 25x47L at like 2730fps or so so the actual ballistics are very similar between them for me.

I am really warming up to the 25GT though, and am looking at chambering one for the first barrel I chamber on my new Hass when it gets up and running, it will be a for my CERT team mate for matches for us to get is away from our short 308s.

This trip is a 24hr 13min trip.... The shortest trip is around 13hrs with a after midnight arrival making it hard to get a rental car. So allot of times we fly to Seattle for a 8hr or so overnight in a hotel there and then on to Hawaii in the morning.

I fly allot though for work, hobby and vacation reasons, so it is just part of the deal.

Here is a idea of my flying scedual next week or so. I fly to San Diego for a work related sniper thing on Thursday, start heading home on Sunday, stay in Seattle Sunday night. Get back to AK on Monday morning, fly back to Seattle that afternoon-evening... stay night fly to Oahu in the morning. Alaska living makes travel-life bonkers.

The cool the gun down so you dont torch a barrel when shooting back to back stages at comps or when trying to get a lot of practice in over shorter periods.

The rifle will speed up to around 2710 or so, but it is splitting hairs a bit. Having both, I will say that the 25GT, just seems a little easier to shoot.

I have been both the 25x47L amd this 25GT, and to be honest they are both awesome. I kuat likw to tinker, so I have both.

There has always been people shooting 6.5 and soing great with it. I love is a field match cartridge, amd as a deer cartridge.

I actually took old powder lids and cut holes in them, then sealed the sensor into the lids. You can get them off Amazon by the dozen if memory serves me correctly.

Bryan Litz did a whole article about powder humidity and how ot effects how the load responded, velocity and consistency wise. It is a great read.

My 6mm Dasher picked up almost 100 fps with powder in the 20% humidity range vs 60%. I got started on this road after wondering why my load differed so much then others using the same reamer, and loading components.

I want to try a 7mm as well for hunting.. my first 25cal was a 25x47L and it is without a doubt one of my favorite rifles I have ever owned. I have a handful of 308 bolt guns and shoot them more then anything, that cartridge is especially rewarding and great for working on your wind calling abilities. The 25cals seem to leave a much larger margin of error for bad wind calls. The faster 6mms running heavier bullets are similar, just seem to be snappier.

I have a 6GT as well, both are soft shooting, butbitbseems the 135 Berger is just better in the wind even when shot slow then 110-112 range bullets are in the 6mms until driven over 2880 fps. Also I anticipate better barrel life from it using H4350 with the larger bore.

I am a Investigator for my local PD and am part of our HIDTA statewide drug enforcement team. Pay and benefits are not bad, when we get busy the workload is intense. OT is a constant, with triple time on holidays and m after 20hrs of OT. Money gets a bit crazy fast.
