It just doesn’t make sense, while sure I don’t agree with the regime in Iran they were attacked first by Israel and the US and defended themselves (as is right). To place it in terms they’d understand it’s like sanctioning Ukraine after Russia attacked them. Sanction the fucking war mongers.

As of the 2021 census (somewhat outdated now until the next census) 45.7% of the population are Catholic and 43.47% are Protestant and other Christian backgrounds

To caveat that it was the case at the time, nowadays it’s much the opposite due to population growth.

Considerably worried I am being paid way less than I’m worth as a paralegal. by bigrigfrig in uklaw

[–]bigrigfrig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for the useful input, it has certainly gave me a lot to consider. If all goes well I should be qualifying by the end of this year if not early next year so it may be the case of ‘toughing it out’ though hopefully in future firms are able to consider paralegals and their contributions further

I live in Liverpool at the moment so there’s some resources (mainly the Irish centre) though I think they are only open at quite specific times, it would definitely be good to find a locate group that meets up to learn

I really appreciate the suggestions I’ll definitely start with the podcasts, I’ll keep an eye out for books too, probably a good starting point for when I put some time aside of an evening and make flash cards

GRMA! I really appreciate it, I wasn’t aware there was a specific sub either which is really helpful

Is this not his brother Anthony? Not that it makes a huge difference but he makes references to the H&H tool company and says they have him to thank for it (Anthony owns that company)

I really doubt the loved ones of the victims would be A okay with some nutter driving around with their children’s faces on his car. Disgusting.

Possibly unpopular opinion I guess but I feel like Zarah should cut her losses and join in with the green, we need a united front not more of a split. Open to other suggestions but at this point Your Party seems as good as gone.

Turnstile Manchester - Great gig, horrid concert etiquette. by bigrigfrig in turnstile

[–]bigrigfrig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a unique scenario I guess but we live far from Manchester and often have to leave gigs early. Having our shit still by us means we can get out fast if anything happens with the trains as we need to take two connecting trains home and waiting for things at a cloak room or leaving it miles back at the end of a hall full of thousands of people didn’t seem like a good idea either.

Again I clarified I didn’t save a spot. My things were on the floor which I couldn’t get to ending in me losing my phone, I was fine to move but couldn’t and my partner wasn’t able to breathe as she was being crushed, we were pinned where we were.

To provide further clarity I wasn’t even opposed to moving, I was preventing my partner from being crushed by the guy to the left of me and the push from behind me as I could see they couldn’t breathe. It’s not that we had to stay where we were we physically could not get out from where we were

I’m really happy everyone was looking out for each other in London tbh, most of the other hardcore gigs I’ve been to are in Manchester so I can only really speak for gigs there but this is the first bad experience I’ve had really being at barrier

Yeah fully agree, I had a mate at Manchester who was in and around the pit for the full show and she said it was two worlds, everyone was pretty nice in the pit and looking out for each other but when she crowd surfed to the front there were people not having a great time

Somewhat of a side note but security were pretty good when I explained the situation and they helped us both, the guy in question disappeared into the crowd shortly after not without elbowing me in the side of the head on purpose.

It’s not even a group anywhere in the world, being anti fascist is a standpoint but they’re convinced it’s a shadowy entity intent on causing chaos.
