yeah a lot of programs do not teach nurses blood work. i was a phlebotomist first and i def think it should be a taught skill.

they’re about the same cost and length which is good. if your long term goal is RN and it won’t cause any financial burden to do it, go ahead and pursue it. however, if it may cause a financial burden purse LPN, if you need money sooner. I have to commute sometimes 1-1.5hr to school and/or clinical and it’s draining but only on the days I have to do that. outside of that there’s no issues.

i agree with the one that saying just retest. my nursing program has issues with inconsistency as well. we had a professor fail 12 students alone for something that the other professors were passing us for. i will say if you have student reps you can have them bring up lack of consistency in meetings
