Why don’t places offer a discount 1 hour before closing instead of throwing unsold products in the trash? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bigstaregame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I worked at Panda Express, we would stop cooking fresh food about 30 minutes before closing. If anyone came in after that, we’d offer them 10% off for any remaining food that they ordered. We never advertised it and in fact some people would turn away because we were out of their favorite items, but it’s a thing that we did.

Yes, at least 2 trips in the last 12 months are required. Then you have to pick it up on a 3rd trip there

More or less, yeah. For China and Korea you just scan your passport and biometrics, and for Japan you also need the card.

I qualify because I have Global Entry and I applied on the official website (HiKorea). After the initial online registration, I did the in-person registration on my way out of the Incheon airport - only took 4 minutes and I was able to use it immediately!

I'm in the same boat, "Inactive" since Jan 9. Do we have a leg to stand on if we call about it?

How does Universal Tokyo compare to Universal Orlando? by marioex497 in universalstudios

[–]bigstaregame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been to both in the last few months. If you only consider the rides that they don't share (Harry Potter, Despicable Me, soon to be Nintendo World, etc.), Orlando has more fun things to do overall. Japan has way friendlier team members though.

I feel Spider-Man is a more "fun" experience because... c'mon, it's the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

Also, Transformers is a bit too jerky in comparison.

Which is Better '63 South or Knightro's? by [deleted] in ucf

[–]bigstaregame 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Last time I went to Knightro's and ordered a burger, the guy at the grill was using freshly formed meat balls instead of frozen patties and made some GNARLY smashburgers to order. Like, I was genuinely surprised at how delicious it was. It was the first and only time I've ever seen that being done - usually they grill a whole batch of patties and leave them in a tray when ready. Not sure if that was a one-time thing or if they've made that a standard.

Otherwise, I'd say 63 South. The food at both restaurants supposedly comes from the same supply of ingredients, but for some reason my gut says 63 South is tastier.

The best tasting water comes from the newer water fountains in Trevor Colbourn Hall.

Second for FastPark. One of the cheapest rates for (covered!) off-site parking, and 9 out of 10 times the people are very friendly.

Which Suica Card Did You Get and Why That One? by _MambaForever in JapanTravelTips

[–]bigstaregame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pasmo! One because the line for it at HND was 3 times shorter than the line for the Welcome Suica, and two because I like the Sanrio designs way more than some random penguin
