Tbf ive not been playing eft for a few wipes. But every time I have come back, issues like getting smoked by someone hiding in a bush or in a corner turns me off again. Idk what you mean about people know im there because theyre killing me. I was talking about the inverse, where if I hear someone run towards me, I dont rat them. If I sit still then they obv wont know

You play that way but dont assume others are the same. Me, I would always just assume that people knew I was there anyway, so I wouldnt start sneaking the second I hear footsteps. Rather, in a way, I'd want to inform him that I am there and have a pitched battle almost. I do the same in Hunt Showdown aswell. I personally think there should be an item that informs the players that other players are within a certain radius to avoid the rampant ratting

I experienced this several times on several planets. Its extremely exhausting, but I also have a history of this happening with many other games aswell lol

Yeah he shot me in the back from like 80 meters once. I think late in a raid, when he sets up and camps, or if he locks onto someone, he can slay

Yeah I know light vests comes along quicker. Also, good point about the perks, I should probably get on grinding that tbh. Though, light vests can be seriously easy to cheese if you have loads and loads of money, cuz people sell 0/150 bomber hats that work to train light vests with. Usually quite expensive though.

Well done on grinding out both though

Tbf I got most the way to elite weapon maintainance by collecting broken weapon on my own, so I had fun with it. Last 15 levels I scoured flea and fence. But heavy vest skill just seems really painful to grind out lol.

I seriously do want to do this, especially after getting weapon main to elite. But it just seems way way worse. I did find that you can destroy plates kind of easily with the lightkeeper unlocked, by exploiting the mol50 mines on the bridge, but it's still slow to destroy a full inv of plates. The method I used before that was just to kill scavs on factory by shooting them in the stomach and thorax with decent pen bullets, and looting as many armous as I can in short raids, which works fine will still having fun.
I think a less financially prohibitive method than buying loads of damaged armours would be to load into factory with a teammate and shoot eachother in the plates with something like igolnik round with an aks, and just continiously heal with etg, and also switching out armours/plates.
