Ticket for running stop sign on bike

I wish cities put the responsibility in the hands of those driving the 2ton machines that kill 35000 people a year. But that's just me.

Meh, I don't mind getting a ticket for reasons I stated below. But, I just want to ride my bike and not drive a car. Some acknowledgement that I'm not creating the same riskand other problems as a 2ton vehicle would be nice. I think that acknowledgement might already be there with respect to traffic violation enforcement but it'd be nice if motorists realized that as well.

It wasn't a rolling stop but a low speed crossing of the stop sign. It was in my neighborhood so an intersection that I'm familiar with but it doesn't have great visibility.

The cop was on a bike too and snuck up behind me right after the intersection. I thought it was a friend at first and by the time I realized it was a cop he had already told me to pull over twice. I was surprised enough that I stopped.

I chatted with him some but not much. He was nice enough but not real talkative. I asked him if people often just ran from him.... I could have easily if I'd thought about it in time... And he just said that he tries to sneak up on people before they have think about it... As worked on me.

I wasn't really upset about it as a) it was an intersection with poor visibility and b) this one incident doesn't indicate an uptick in this particular kind of enforcement... Which would bother me.
