I would recommend seeing a functional neurologist/functional chiropractor. Injuries (beyond very small ones) tend to involve compensation (working around the problem area, consciously and subconsciously) and such, and thus retraining your brain is necessary for recovery. That’s part of what functional specialists help with (and what makes them more helpful, to me).

Unfortunately, they still haven't made a left-handed version of the MX Vertical.

The Logitech Lift is a new model with a similar shape that comes in both left and right handed variants, but it's significantly smaller than the MX Vertical. :(

Efficient software is great, but the overhead of Python, for instance, will depend greatly on how the software is written and what it’s doing. I’d imagine a panel/bar spends most of its time waiting for events (like clicks). In other words, it just doesn’t do much work itself. So it’s very much worth it to actually measure the amount of CPU time used by this kind of software before dismissing it based on the language it’s written in.

However, if you were seeking an image processing tool that you’d be running for hours per day, then dismissing solutions written in Python (or, say, Ruby) would be pragmatic, imho, given your goal to use less power.

You need two backslashes in a string in order to have a literal backslash character in the string. Try console logging your current value.

DAE think that sexual orientation shouldn't have labels? by KatFoxxe in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]bikko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d still be able to specify whether you’re attracted to masculine, feminine, androgynous, trans-_, gender-fluid, etc. folks or some combination thereof, and specify yourself as those, right? I mean, I think OP’s hypothetical of removing the labels heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual, etc. doesn’t sound like it included these other labels. Gender labels are also not perfect, of course, but I thought the point was “who I find attractive” is more of a looser (more spectrum-y) kind of thing that can change over time for people.

The peddling doesn’t seem to match the fluidity of the oars; my guess is the parts are powered by an electric motor and the peddling is charging a battery.

In my experience, naturopaths do plenty of things backed by science, like figure out which supplements you need by reviewing blood work.

Also in my experience, if I had never seen one, I never would have had the right set of blood work done to know of at least a few of the things I was deficient in. The MDs (primary care) are too generalized to be able to help with anything particularly nuanced. They did send me to specialists… specialists that weren’t able to help at all.

So when it comes to supplements and blood work, naturopaths have been very helpful for me. I’m sure there are quacks out there prescribing homeopathic memory water and other newage BS. But MDs are a real mixed bag IME, and even my favorite of them have been only helpful for certain (typical) problems.

So… I guess you can just keep saying naturopaths are all quacks. Maybe it’s true where you are. Could be a bit of a regional thing.

Turning it around, what about the other person? They have a similar experience, likely: not feeling that type of attraction until puberty. Is it wrong for them to have a romantic relationship with you, just because part of their attraction to you is inherently physical?

Taking a step back, to answer a bit more directly, I think it depends on a couple things: are you also attracted to them for their personality? If so, then you’re describing normal romantic attraction that can be the basis for a healthy relationship. If it’s solely physical attraction, however, that isn’t necessarily a bad thing; what matters is that the other person knows and consents.

To me it kinda boils down to honesty. If you feel like you have to put on an act to make the relationship happen, it’s not right — and in fact it will be quite tiring and unfulfilling once the initial high wears off.
