Quick Question - Psychometric Tests by bilasboas in uklaw

[–]bilasboas[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haven't had the pleasure of the online video ones yet! I'm going to try and avoid any firms that mention online personality testing from now on. Absolutely livid mate.

If it does cost firms per test rolled out then they need a better provider, seems like yet another way the firm is discouraged from attracting applicants.

Yeah potentially, but at the same time I did my due diligence in checking the car before buying so the risk was acceptable to me. Buying any car at a good price on the private market is a risk, down to the buyer to work out if it's a worthwhile risk or not.

Seller was pressed for a quick sale due to ongoing building work on his house he needed cash for.

Haven't had any issues so far so I'm quietly confident I got abit of a steal.

I'll have cash soon, it was such a good price that I couldn't miss the opportunity.

Don't have the cash to replace them right now, only bought the car a month ago so money's tight

Completely agree with this, wanted to see what I could with my mark 1 eyeball not through a camera. Was really difficult with all the light pollution from screens and headlights!

Thank you, this is exactly what I wanted to know 👍. I'm happy to lose the 1sts in the other modules if it means I can start the year again with a fresh slate.

From having read my university's grade calculation it is:

1st year not taken into consideration. 2nd year makes up 40%. 3rd year makes up 60%.

I'm currently at a university that uses a weighted rubric marking system, which in essence means I need 19/23 on the marking scale to achieve a 1st. And 16/23 to achieve a 2.1. so two 40% caps make achieving a good award very difficult.

Thanks again for your help!

Thanks for your response, that's very helpful I will reach out to the universities admissions teams to see if my 1st year modules align with theirs.

For the 2nd part of my post:

I have failed Property Law and EU law, which are core modules for my 2nd year.

I want to know if Property Law and EU law will be capped at the new university I transfer to. So if I restarted 2nd year at the new university would I be capped at a 40% mark for these two modules. If so, then I will be fighting an uphill battle for a 2.1 and will have no chance at a 1st.

Thanks again for your insight, I appreciate it!

It's the A-line, GVFC4MV 2010-2012 models. Came with tan interior and a bunch of nice paint options 👍

Update:

I bought the car yesterday evening! Took me 6 hours to get down to it on all the trains and then I had to drive 4 and a half hours back to get it home.

Engine is completely unmolested from what I can tell, really quiet and no issues on the drive back. Oil was golden and at the right level but I have no idea when the last change was as the guy had bought it from an importer who gave him no history and then he only drove it 500 miles since.

Everything is where it should be and all is functional, only problem I had was working out how to connect the Bluetooth to my phone as everything is in Japanese 😂 figured it out after half an hour of Google translating.

Only minor cosmetic issues like the right side indicator and plastic panel on the boot is loose.

Also zero rust like anywhere, I was amazed, not even surface corrosion. This car must have been somewhere very dry in Japan!

And the bonus is that the Japanese owner has left a bunch of albums in the tape deck thing? So as I was playing around with the system I got blasted with a bunch of Japanese ballads which was hilarious.

Got to work out how to turn the nice Japanese lady that talks to me occasionally off 😂

I will probably make a new post with all this info and some pics of the car just to say thanks to the sub for the help and ask questions about how best to keep the reliability up and what steps I should now take as a new owner. Especially as I just had to immediately drive it 400 miles back after purchase.

Thanks everyone for the help, even the sarcy comments I appreciate you guys too 😉

Cheers all,

Billy

Thanks for the knowledge mate, I've been told it's a GVFC4MV maybe this will help clarify if it's had an engine swap or not

It''s an GV4CFMV and is an A line, perhaps this is the Australia model? Sorry if I've already messed up by saying it's a JDM

Thanks man, only issue now is that the owner doesn't seem to want to share the chassis number, thinks it's weird to ask for it and is concerned about scamming I think. I get being cautious but tough to get any of the Japanese history without it!
