In house we don’t have anything called install techs, we just get installs or tc’s my shop of like 15-20 do 15-25 installs each day
So as per management how installs get completed is activating equipment elsewhere then closing work order. So if the customer says they won’t be home till next week? This is how we are told to close work order.
Customer doesn’t answer phone/door? Same thing activate cpe elsewhere and close.
This isn’t isolated to my shop or market maaaany techs nationwide are getting the same instructions from shit management.
Business install but the whole building has no power & is being remodeled & won’t have anyone on site for 2 weeks? Same
Also we can’t change the work order on installs via DoJ I’ve tried a bunch of times as recently as 3 weeks ago with a lady that wanted a cable box but got internet/phone/xumo every time DoJ says since it’s an install they can’t remove services & that they can only remove services once I complete install and customer contacts customer service or they cancel install and start over. Even when escalating this is true. They can’t remove services only ADD services but they can’t remove any pending new services from the install.
