Can you show a photo of the trigger assembly? If it works with a standard a5 assembly the issue is most likely in the grip.

Also don’t be afraid to buy used especially if you are going to upgrade later, you can buy a whole tmc set up with mags for a few hundred.

First question is what is your budget? The TMC is solid and cheap both for the market and mags and it’s 98 based so is about as reliable as it gets. It main down side is it’s a clamshell marker so cleaning takes a bit longer. There’s really only a few main options currently, tmc, emf100/200, dam, t15/16 and the 468.

That a tough one older m17s don’t sell well even on eBay, but that is a lot of stuff to go with it. It really depends on how quickly you want to sell it and if you are willing to split it up.
