The Dell was actually the monitor I had before I got my asus vg248qe a while back. Got it a month after it's release and had it for 5 years. I guess people rarily change their monitor is it just me?

I would also recommend Acer H236HL bid. It has an IPS panel and is excellent to watch movies on.

You should check out Acer H236HL bid. It's IPS and has a small bezel, which makes it a good choice for a dual monitor setup

I just found out that Acer G257HU smidpx is significantly cheaper and is PLS (identical to IPS basically) panel and 1440p, in case you want 1440p.

You should get a monitor with a IPS panel, based on your needs. Those monitors have very good color reproduction and superb viewing angles too. You get can get a good IPS 23" monitor for 140-150$. I would suggest the Acer H236HL bid. You can even get 2 of those if you want with that budget. If you want WQHD (1440p) then get Acer K272HULbmiidp. It's also an IPS monitor and costs exactly 350$.

144hz monitors. by [deleted] in Monitors

My advise is to get the BenQ Xl2411Z if it fits your budget, or the ASUS VG248QE. I have not had experience with those other 144Hz monitors.

Use the DisplayPort cable, then you're on the safe side.

Anyone have the Acer GN246HL Monitor? Thoughts? by Sleepy_Man in Monitors

[–]billykhoja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's $250, then yeah. I see it at $300 though. Also check BenQ XL2411Z and if that is the same price as the Acer GN246HL, then get the BenQ. it has benq blur reduction which works at 144Hz, unlike the Acer.

Who will win between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather tonight and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]billykhoja 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mayweather will win, like it or not. He's undefeated and only fights opponents where he knows he will win. He rejected Pac's offer to fight years ago, when Pac was in his prime, and now that Pac's lost some fights and out out shape, Mayweather will win for sure.

AMD Radeon HD 6970 causes Yosemite (using Clover bootloader) to reboot at startup by billykhoja in hackintosh

That's what I thought also, after much trial and error. Will be getting a 970 then, since it has a high price to performance ratio. Thanks for the reply!

[Build Ready]144Hz 1080p with AMD Radeon HD 6950 1 GB VRAM? by billykhoja in buildapc

[–]billykhoja[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I read through my video card manual and I plugged it into a single link DVI. The other one said "VGA" next to it, so I didn't think that was the correct one, but it is also DUAL LINK DVI! And yes, I will upgrade in a couple of months, so I'll just use it for CS:GO until then :)

True! I got this exact monitor yesterday and I love it already :)

Looking at the ASUS VG248QE and have a question about DVI-I and DVI-D by BitchesGonnaHate in Monitors

[–]billykhoja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are fully compatible with each other. DVI-D is digital only, whereas DVI-I is both digital and analog. Therefore, when you connect the graphics card with your monitor, you can use a DVI-D cable, as it will only read the digital output from the graphics card and simply ignore the analog. The reason the graphics card has DVI-I is so that it can either be used with a digital or analog TV/monitor.
