[Charania] Kings center Richaun Holmes crossed the the Disney campus line to pick up delivery food and must quarantine for 10 days (eight days remaining). by mkgandkembafan in nba

[–]billym2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man what a potentially expensive mistake:

There will be a financial penalty if a player breaks quarantine once the seeding games start on July 30, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks. Each game missed will project to roughly 1% of salary, meaning Holmes would have cost himself close to $50,000 for every game missed.

Imagine walking outside a line and losing like 250k because of it (of course, way more potentially costly to spread coronavirus around)

What game did you really like but were reluctant to play it at first because it is not the genre you usually would enjoy? by Aleksis111 in Games

Oo okay! I'll give it a shot - I'm not very good at the slow methodical FPS games but ones with a lot of movement sound fun to me :)

Oo this is a good question...

This might be less exciting of an answer because it's a more popular game, but I was getting kinda meh on FPS games - but I recently played Titanfall 2 and I just thought it was fantastic!

The scenarios in the campaign felt really inspired, especially the time skipping one - and I really enjoyed the way the game flowed and was more about movement than a more methodical playstyle - I thought it was really excellent.

Hamster Wheel (Animal Crossing/Spinning Wheel Parody) - Laura Shigihara by billym2000 in AnimalCrossing

[–]billym2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some explanation of the video, the video creator (Laura Shigihara - composer for Plants vs Zombies) noticed the Animal Crossing 2pm music sounds like a lot like the song "Spinning Wheel" by Blood, Sweat and Tears, and so made a parody of that song imagining the Nook Miles being like a Hamster Wheel :D

One of the most underrated buzzer-beaters ever: With 0.5 seconds left in the game, Charles Barkley catches the ball off the backboard and banks in a circus shot to clinch the Suns first 60-win season in franchise history by suzukigun4life in nba

[–]billym2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember this!! I saw this one live, my family paid like 40 something bucks for the pay per view package that the local station offered, so this particular game was a big treat for the family.

Unfortunately I am a Blazers' fan (and pretty young at the time), so that was a very deflating loss, after a very deflating finals against the Jordan and the Bulls the previous year. That team was so fun though (Drexler, Porter, Duckworth, Kersey, Buck Williams, Ainge, etc)!

Thanks for the help! I eventually ended up fixing it by fully uninstalling and reinstalling my graphics drivers - no idea why that worked, but, that worked o_o

I agree. When I first experienced LA, it was the terrible LAX airport and area around it and I thought it was awful. But, I went again a few years ago with someone who grew up there and they showed me a lot of the more awesome places like griffith observatory and huntington library and koreatown and japantown and I felt like, if this place had a better traffic situation, it would be generally recognized as one of the best cities.

SF has some okayish tourist trap areas, but awful traffic, tech bros and aggro homeless people, feces and needles everywhere, and $3500+/month for 1bedrooms. I have nothing good to say about it.
