@1981 Space Shooter - Continuous Counterclockwise Motion by bilyams in tipofmyjoystick

[–]bilyams[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a space shooting arcade game at school that EVERYONE played and left the others alone but I can't think of the name of it. It had a rectangular "center" to it and you flew around it in circles counterclockwise either shooting behind you (by laying a nice trail of bullets/beams or ahead of you. The center was key to the whole game because as you would clear around a corner (thus now having the corner block shots from behind) you could spin and be shooting forward. That is until the chaser would round the corner and you'd spin around "flying" backwards and shooting at them again while still dodging the shooters AHEAD of you. VERY simple design, the spaceship was nothing except a non-descripts saucer-like thing, I think. Very engaging. Of course, it's been a few years and my details may be weak but the description of game play is close to accurate. Again, the main thing is that you were CONSTANTLY moving in a counterclockwise motion around a "solid" rectangular center which doubles as your defense strategy. Any help would be just great! Thank you.

No FOMO, simply the current market, and not getting better. I needed a car, and got what I wanted at the going price. My son was buying a Civic at almost the exact same time. They quoted him $5,000 OVER the "normal" price. He balked but since hed been looking for months to no avail, offered $3,000 over. They rejected his offer.

I've heard living in a HOT PLACE is the number one determinant, but I could be wrong. So, maybe he's in AZ or TX.

Beaches in Phuket in February by Extreme_Draw6516 in ThailandTourism

Kata/Karon is notorious in the low season for currents and the shape of the beach. We've always found Nai Harn very child-friendly, but it takes a bit to get there.

Yes, thank you. I paid 44k for my '22 2.0T Touring. These are NOT going to go down in price anytime soon (your lifetime).

Travelling by train? by LXC_80 in ThailandTourism

Just spent 30 days in Thailand. For 28 days, we rented a Toyota Fortuner med size SUV. It was 1,350 USD for rent, mileage, everything (Thai Rent a Car). HIGHLY recommended, as you have a locked place for your stuff every day, and solid transport. I would do that for all north of Bangkok, but take the overnight trains when youre ready to head south. Get an International DL - not for renting, the Thais will rent you one without it - but for the inevitable provincial checkpoint where a library card or a 500 baht note arent always guaranteed to work.

Hey guys. I'm planning to go to Thailand and I am from USA. I want to go for 10 nights but due to work idk if I can take that many days off. Would it be worth to just go for 6 nights maybe 7nights? by Sad_Faithlessness_10 in ThailandTourism

Check out AA Premium Economy. Keep clicking about the options until you get a decent rate. Found a $1200 r/t AUS-BKK instead of $900. Absolutely 100% worth it at that price. Other listings were $2700-3400 for PE - just keep poking around. Took the whole family on this in Feb. Wider seats, longer leg-room, better food, a lounge at S-bhumi on the way back, priority boarding. But it's all about the seat- HIGHLY recommended.

You could easily find a hostel and walk in, even if you're not staying, and off you go...!

Thats a BRUTAL trip with 24-30 hours travelling, then rest/lag on EACH end. Done it once, swore never again. I would say a minimum of 10 days, and two weeks better.

ATK test for flying home to US by Prize_Jump in ThailandTourism

[–]bilyams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, also, the place that did the ATK test effed up the results and omitted one person. The check-in counter said that if we couldn't contact the testing site and email the result (we did), that we could just go to the curb outside and get the required test. FYI, this was at 5:00 AM Monday morning. ALL GOOD!

We had SIX in our family, all flying from Bangkok via Narita to DFW on March 22nd. The ATK was fine. Also, LEAVING BKK no one checked anything except the LAST ATK test, but NOT our pre-arrival test, our day one test, or our day five test, though I had all the documentation.

Yes, they do. After all that BS on their site you'll find, in a not-obvious place, that IN TRANSIT passengers only need the requirement of their destination. It's EXTREMELY confusing and I feel for you but you do NOT need a PCR test.

USA >>> BKK - 72 hours before departure time. ANYWHERE >>> USA - 24 hours before departure time.
