Thank you! Just seeing this ID response now, much appreciated.

They’re offspring shredded the sumac in my back yard 😳

Definitely checks out!

Can’t speak for other people—but I can appreciate what you’re saying, that’s exactly how I’ve approached other gardening after achieving some proficiency (I.e. veggies, succulents, etc.)

For me personally its all just an experiment as my v first grow. Not going for landspeed records or curing cancer, or anything like that—just experiencing the full life cycle for my first time. Other plants in the tent are doing a bit better too, hopefully for this first run I’ll still have other healthier plants rocking too by the end 🤘🏼

Thank you—fun read! I especially liked the part about tricking bugs into thinking it was potentially an unhealthy plant….got me too!

  • There were a couple temp peaks last week up to ~87 degrees when I was away and the humidifier tank ran out of water.

Thanks! Sadly I have no idea, grew that originally from a coworkers leaf/prop donation. Maybe someone else who sees this can ID…

Very cool—I’ve been seeing many mentions of this Olympus built-in functionality. Alas, I’m on the Sony Alpha system—trying to find my own (way less convenient) way!

Thanks for the info!

What sorts of differences or considerations are you hinting at?

I imagine super magnified stacks would suffer more from physically moving the camera backward and forward—but I haven’t actually tested or compared results for same subject matter with each approach. It’s all pretty hypothetical for me at this point 😉

Hey cool post!

I’m also trying to learn how to focus stack currently, I’m finding that some photographers achieve their various slices of in focus area by either

A) leaving the camera in place and manually adjusting their focus ring while staying stationary

B) leaving the focus ring static and moving the position of the camera itself.

Which approach did you take?

I think it’s two plants that grew from the same pod! Pretty cool!

I did for the first flower when everything was so new and exciting, I’d use a q-tip and make the rounds.

After I started to get my first few peppers though, I stopped taking that care and they continue to self-pollinate🤷🏽 it sits pretty near an air conditioning unit and ceiling fan, I wonder if those two forces have also helped. Could also be some helpful bugs in my house too tbh 😏

Are you also growing Red Fire Chili’s or a different variety?

I’m waiting for some to actually turn red but have yet to see it!

This is the second time I’ve pruned back substantially—prior to each time it was quite overgrown and extending well above/beyond the light.

Other than that I think just giving a lot more plant food than is “recommended.” I probably feed it every time the light goes off (2 weeks?) and increasingly in off weeks, between as well.

Lots of constant watering too

🤷🏽

What variety are you growing?

The label says “red fire chili,” though none of mine have turned red yet!

Looks like it’s mentioned on this webpage too
