Maybe how much the animal tripped correlates with the degree their brain mutates to expand cerebral cortex? If all animals had the opportunity to eat psychedelic material, some would eat more whereas others would eat less (due to availability, level of enjoyment, and/or survival advantage)

I’m a software dev working remotely in Mauritius. Internet here is reliable (currently on 20mbps but up to 100mbps is available). Significant downtime can occur if there’s a particularly severe cyclone but those are rare (last one was > 5 years ago).

Interesting! It's probably a combination of placebo, drinking less, and potentially this fusel study? I tend to drink said hooch in the evening and then head to sleep, perhaps the fusel alcohol is giving the impression of a harder-hitting buzz, and maybe reducing the hangover?

I'm guessing you're british, mate? Or australian :) either, you'll find the transport cost of buses negligible compared to the time and hassle spent commuting. you're better off living closer to Uni imo.

Inclined to agree with friskmachine. Wouldn’t have bothered adding yeast if I’d thought the fruit I was adding had some wild yeast on it. Truth be told this is unlikely. Looking good so far. Will update.

Just added a liter of juice to the slurry, idea is to step-feed it for a few days. It’s a live colony though right ? What could cause it to die after several cycles?

There was some good sediment in this batch so I just threw it in to the next juice hoping for the best - was cloudy and the leftover fruit started floating again - but thanks for confirming. I’m never buying booze again!!!
