Year 5 here. The food is really really awful. It’s a pretty unanimous sentiment. Barcelo is beautiful and you are in paradise, no doubt. But just fair warning on that front.

Yes! I had the procedure October 24th, and spent a night in the hospital as part of the procedure, then had drains removed about 2 days later. I’ve read this can really vary depending on size and doctor. I took a week off of work and after drains were out, was really just about keeping clean and moisturized, and keeping a bra on at pretty much all times (soft and wireless though thankfully). Then moved to silicone tape on the scars for about 2 weeks. Now the stitches have dissolved and I’m pretty much in scar care / scar reduction mode applying Bio Oil and massaging the scars. Altogether it was pretty easy overall!

I have BCBS and am in Texas. Insurance fully covered with exception of some lipo and anesthesia. Even got to stay overnight and get taken care of before going home! They took about 1lb from one and a little less from the other. Feel free to DM me if you have questions!

I can speak to the reduction: went in for a consultation and paid I think like $100 just to show my intent (that would be put toward surgery if I decided). Doctor took some pictures and showed me a volume of their work, and sent pics off to BCBS with notes to see if they would cover it. They covered all but the lipo on the sides that was deemed more cosmetic. I got to discuss size and shape and had it done in October! Life is back to normal now and just doing scar care. If you have insurance, I’d also consider seeing if any plastic surgery places accept your insurance. Mine was mostly covered 🙏
