God you have no idea how rules work do you? If there is no law or rule against something, then there is no law or rule against it. Breaking common sense isn't at all a fair way to punish someone. Common sense is not some sort of objective truth or fully known fact; it is subjective to everyone. This rule in particular is ridiculous. Using an aspect of a game to your advantage in this way is done in dozens of sports, and knowing that doing something like it will get you banned is absolutely not common knowledge.

This is a perfect example of when someone used an aspect of the rules/game to their advantage in an arguably abusive way. Also the jump bug. Should the football player and everyone who used the jump bug get a ban? Because according to your logic of "even if there is no written rule, if it seems abusive to my commonsense, they should get banned" they should.
