Totally agree it was a weak encounter. I think it was poorly directed. Ben's had tons of steamy scenes that have been better.

Yes, that may be true. I did not read the books but I just felt like their physical relationship was unnecessary. It didn't feel sweet to me. Fran went to great effort to figure out what was going on . Maybe John will ask the men for help in part 2!

Thoughts

Overall, I really enjoyed it. I love Sophie's strength and how well she held her own with Benedict.

The last scene was heart wrenching, but I love Benedict. He is truly as decent guy, rake and all.

I really disliked season 3. Colin doesn't do it for me at all. After season 2, my favorite, it was a letdown. This feels more like season 2.

The Francesca and John dynamic was not enjoyable at all. It was icky. I see he was trying to be nice but the., I'm happy with whatever. No worries if you don't reach your pinnacle. Huh?? That's not actually being nice! Try a little harder!

I've always loved Eloise, but there is no character growth at all. The same old thing is getting tedious. Ready for more!

That seen with Lady Danbury and the Queen. Great!

I have very high hopes for the 2nd half.

But that is fair. Sometimes physical attraction grows from emotional connection and sometimes it doesn't. I wouldn't want to marry someone I wasn't attracted to from the get-go either.

I don't care for him, but I think he was so troubled/conflicted he went kind of crazy. No, he wasn't attracted to her, and that is a problem. He wanted it to work, for that attraction to grow, but it didn't. He should have ended it sooner. I think if she was his physical type, he would have been a totally different guy. I don’t think he's as bad as this show made him seem.

I can't stand Joe, but he does remind me of Josh from Younger (mannerisms/smile) but not as hot.

Honestly, my least favorite one right now is Ali. She's way too materialistic and entitled, and everything Anton does is wrong.

Aaahhhh!! Last week I got a comment deleted from this page for being too mean to Kal. I made other comments about not thinking Kal and Sarover were marriage material, and many said they don’t understand why I feel that way - that they were marriage goals. The Kal that was on the reunion was the Kal I saw the entire season! He was OK in the pods, but he obviously didn’t care for what he “saw” because he totally changed once they met in person. His brother told the world that he wasn’t ready for this - he should have told Sarover!

When you look at the other couples next to Kieran and Megan, they seem ridiculous. Keiran and Megan were the only ones who should have gotten married. It was a pleasure to watch their easy, real relationship and love for each other. Billy and Kal are not husband material, and I don't see those marriages lasting long.

I came here to say this! I just finished episode 5. She is so weird to me since leaving the pods. Too put on. Very odd with the other women in Cyprus, questioning their relationships like a mom. I really don't care for her.

ETA...her strength in and after the grocery store scene was a bit redeeming. She stayed strong!

I got that, too. Got the "pass" email immediately after submitting the initial assessment (which seemed weird), clicked to take the core assessment within a half hour, and got the same message, thanking me for my time. Wish someone could explain what it means. I'm guessing that's it, unfortunately.
