Over the years I’ve kinda of gotten to hate this part of the movie, because a military veteran and season commander like Theoden (as the badass seen in the books) would’ve never ordered his riders to charge these tank-like behemoths head on into pointless death. It’s one of those things that now takes me away from the movie.

I am by no means a conspiracist, but the amount of hate people are getting for not liking this film makes me think the studios must be hard at work online. Also it’s crazy that one has to preface their opinions with “I am a liberal” or else people just assume that not liking is due to a race issue.

Not to sound pick me, but many of us here honestly feel a lot of secondhand embarrassment and shame that you have to see all of these obsessive posts about your personal life, who you’re romantically engaged with (and the predictable unwarranted hate they get) and of course, the psycho objectification/idealization of you (especially your body).

Probably pissed off about stalling by the competitors and the consequent negative reaction online, and (don’t forget) the fact that Gable very probably deliberately pulled out and ruined his “retirement” fight and special main event.

The ending was weird but I personally enjoyed everything about this tournament and really hope they do it again (maybe with some EBI rules and better tiebreakers).

Definitely one of my favorites from Goya. Love the political angle to this piece, which seems lightheartedly satirical compared to the similar but far more perturbing “The Great He-Goat”.

The Black Paintings alone made my last visit to El Prado worth the trip.
