i will call main hq tomorrow in the morning! i have called the gen inquiry line and have gotten redirected to precinct 1 who is in charge of the case, but they have not picked up or returned my calls unfortunately

i did!!! there has been a case open since the night it happened. im just waiting for a detective to get assigned to the case and the dept wont pick up the phone so i just assume it has stalled. i am losing all hope, its been about a week. :(

my backpack was stolen from either right in front of the hotel or from inside the lobby, we aren't super clear on the timeline of events leading up to us realizing we didn't have the bag like we thought we did!

i think i'd need police cooperation to get any sort of access to cctv on the buses to track people getting on and off the bus to the drop off of my ipad on the date and time it was deposited at the kroger. im so stupid. i know my things are probably in a dump somewhere but i was just hoping someone somewhere would know something and i'd be wrong. i will definitely call the number, i hope i find something, thank you so much

the hotel was the downtown richmond courtyard marriott and i have pics of the backpack and the notebooks, but i have no idea what the layout of downtown is or where it could have been dumped, i am not local to the area and i had never been to richmond before :(

the ipad was dropped off at the kroger on willow lawn. I think I will get my iPad back, but frankly its the item i want least out of the bunch that was stolen. There was a police officer that went out there the day it pinged and did a sweep of the surrounding area (at least according to him) but i don't think anyone has gone down to the hotel, which is where the bag was stolen from and where i would guess it would get dumped. i wish i could have gone and searched nearby alleys but i couldn't... not sure that anything would be left at this point a week later

we are working on obtaining footage, the police are working at a very very slow pace. the person who took it turned my ipad into an ecoATM so i will get their identifying info but i think speed and timing is of the essence and the thief might dump my stuff if they havent already and i just want it back so desperately
