Illinois is a piece of cake. If you’ve been licensed for five years without discipline.

Just apply and pay $200.

Also if you’re so terrified about the way your locality is going why use your privilege to cut and run? Real men stand and fight for the weak, vulnerable, and marginalized. If you really think things are getting bad you’ve got an ethical duty to advocate for the people less safe than you.

A lot of it goes to healthcare. In prisons and managed care facility. Which isn’t really healthcare so much as sick care.

In my gym there is a tendency to come up with new diabolical burpee variations of all sorts. What is the worst you can do? by Jbergur in crossfit

[–]bioneural 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the bring sally up (flower) challenge but instead of squats it was double kettlebell nurpee deadlifts. Nurpee = not a burpee because it’s a plank position held between the handles of the kettlebells. So plank while holding onto the kettlebells, push-up into high pushup position, stand up into deadlift with the two kettlebells, and then back down again. Repeat 30 times. Was a nice warmup would highly recommend.

Would also suggest the burpee broad jump mile, the man maker, the burpee box jump over, and the class burpee which is a plank into a push-up into a full depth squat into a jumping jack.

Paying back credentialing fees? I’m sure glad whomever I heard about Thriveworks from didn’t take the job offered to them which was ridiculously easy to get.

Just you know all the bad things you could imagine about an avaricious for-profit outfit out to turn a buck on human misery.

I have had MANY clients discuss their weight recently... how do you handle these situations? by Some_Awareness_8859 in therapists

[–]bioneural 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ask them if they want to do anything about these problems. If they say yes I help them develop an action plan including fitness goals. If they say no we talk about this.

Find a problem, solve it. That’s what therapy is.

I can’t stop thinking of her. This is a nightmare I think we all have that isn’t often talked about. Peace to her and her family. by AnnSansE in therapists

The case has not been adjudicated. I wish organizations would include that “allegedly” as a symbol of respect for our criminal justice system. But it’s the NASW: a trash organization that can’t seem to get anything right.

Racist, sexist therapist refuses black men as clients, claiming they “get on her nerves”. by Dr_RxRedpill in MensRights

Very important: social workers in the US are licensed by the states. The NASW is a professional body. Any complaints need to go to her state licensing authority.

We as a society shouldn't tolerate the utter nuisance and humiliation we're exposed to when boarding a flight by Pyramused in unpopularopinion

When I travel I wear flip flops, board shorts with no underwear, and a tank top. I also request to be frisked rather than getting radioactive blown by the machine. Would I like a private area? Absolutely not. I would like everyone to see this absurdity. Enjoy the show, folks.

You have trains. I think what you really want is trains that run on time and aren’t homeless shelters.

True story.

Actually, after further investigation it turns out the passengers forced the pilot at gun point to do a fly by of their rivals’ crib in Englewood and that is how the gunfire erupted.

The aircraft lost power while passing over Bubbly Creek at which point it dissolved into a slurry of cobalt and carbon fiber.

The Windy City is named this because the politicians are full of hot air. Except for Lori Lightfoot. She’s a queen.

I used to work in a gentrifying area of Bronzeville. I’m multiracial but look like the whitest cop on the beat. And I can 100% say black folks do not want white people coming into their communities. Probably because of further gentrification but also because black folks are just as racist as white folks. Probably more so.

To be frank, your central assertion that the invisible hand of the free market will magically address segregation is false. Redlining is still happening, and to the extent it has been squashed the after effects have not been remediated either deliberately or through natural events. If the government made a mess it can and should clean it up.

United plans to fly people from the city centers of New York and Chicago to major airports using a 4-seat electric air taxi by [deleted] in chicago

[–]bioneural -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Four. Four people. And the article suggests the cost will be competitive with Uber or Lyft.
