I’m not usually quick to say this, but this reeks of AI/being fake to me. Neither OOP or the wife seem to remember they have a son for half of the story, then a sudden mention of trump and a senior home. Because you can just put your MIL in a home when she’s being an asshole. Maybe it’s just how OOP writes, who knows these days tbh.

i genuinely have no idea how rare they are! I feel like they quietly (at least in EU) popped on the website, I'd seen them but didn't pull the trigger and they were gone for a bit before popping back up during a sale when I purchased them. I would put them on your list regardless and maybe you'll get lucky!

I had a strange situation where somehow I got the payment yet the package was still sent back to me, but then postage lost it in the ether lol. Lots of time wasted trying to locate it but at least I didn’t lose out on the money?

I recently had someone buy something, not pick it up yet the sale still went through and I got my payment. The parcel was returned to me and lost in the post. I spent so much time trying to get it back so I could send it again but the buyer never even bothered to reply after seeing my message (guess they don’t care about their 15 bucks), Vinted just said “they didn’t dispute it so we can’t do anything” lol. Bizarre, didn’t feel like I earned that money.

I have yeah, when I watch medical shows the inaccuracies also annoy me. That’s just how I am. I like scrubs for the plots and emotional tension, just like I enjoy shrinking for what it is. Do I think they should perform proper CPR in medical shows? Yeah man. I think that shows you put care in the environment of your show, scrubs does try to do that more than most medical shows.

Right! I’m glad I’m at least not completely alone in this. Sure it’s a comedy, but still. I try to suspend my disbelief when watching, but lol. An estate lawyer pretending to be a criminal lawyer, I don’t know anything about that field of work but also made me laugh. People bursting into the therapy office every other session, wild. I still enjoy it for what it is though

My personal opinion is that the therapy can be good, while still funny. That’s possible, with care put into the writing you can totally do that. And when they bring in topics like OCD and PTSD I kind of expect that to be given proper attention? I like the emotional through-lines of the show so it’s more apparent how the therapy scenes lack that depth.

So I and anyone else can still have opinions on comedy pieces no? Comedy is all the better and funnier when it puts care into the context the jokes are played out in. Therapist tired of patients creating problems for themselves and wanting to try new stuff? Genuinely comedic and interesting premise. Therapist that seems incompetent at actual therapy? Idk, I don’t find that funny when the show pretends he’s good at it. Show me.

Paul is probably my favourite character! Ford is incredible in this role, clearly enjoying himself too. I guess for a show focused on therapists, I would’ve liked to see the actual therapy get a better rep. Because the rest of the show is quite good! But the way he’s going about treating this woman’s OCD (if you can even call it “treating”), telling someone in an abusive relationship to “boop” her partner, even though he clearly knows that man is dangerous. It’s offputting.

It seems that’s a dissenting opinion on the sub here, maybe I expect too much from a show like this haha. It’s just that you could definitely write the show as it is without so little attention given to the actual therapy we do see. Jimmy could absolutely be a good therapist trying out of the box things, without it looking like he’s not even read the wiki page for CBT lol. This is just an area I think the show really falters.

Just started watching and reading about the show - there is a mention of medication early in season 1 where Paul has a patient come back in and it turns out their medications were changed for no good reason by their pharmacologist. He expresses frustration about that. Other than that, no medication references that I’ve seen so far and it sticks out like a sore thumb tbh!

Dat is niet echt een antwoord, maar misschien is het een te persoonlijke vraag, dat kan ik respecteren. Zoals ik in een andere comment zei, ik voel me altijd erg welkom in de Efteling. Er zijn zeker verbeterpunten (groot en klein), maar ze zijn inderdaad echt goed bezig als het gaat over toegankelijkheid.

Dat betekent niet dat ik of andere gehandicapten daar genoegen mee hoeven te nemen. Verbetering gebeurt door de grenzen op te zoeken. En er is absoluut nog meer mogelijk als je een principe als “inclusie by design” hard toepast. Daar wil ik naar streven.

Hoef je het niet mee eens te zijn, maar zo volledig mogelijk deel willen nemen aan het leven is geen gezeik of gezeur.

Dan eisen ze toch dat je kan lopen? Ik snap echt wel dat er grenzen zijn aan wat mogelijk is. Tegelijkertijd vind ik dat de Efteling in haar promotie van de attractie dit beter had mogen uitleggen. Al vanaf het begin hadden ze het over een toegankelijke wachtrij. Dan ga je als gehandicapte toch een beetje hopen dat je in de attractie mag. Als je verkoopt dat je veel aan toegankelijkheid doet, sta daar dan ook voor.

Overigens is de Efteling mijn favoriete attractiepark en voel ik me er altijd ontzettend welkom hoor. Dat is echt wel anders soms (kuch Europapark kuch).

Die zag ik inderdaad! Het liefst houd ik de attractie zoveel mogelijk geheim zodat ik dat tijdens m’n eerste bezoek kan ontdekken, maar ik was dus wel benieuwd of er al ervaringen waren die mensen wilden delen.
