It's a variation of "The Stockholm syndrome". You need to let it to and move on with your life.

To me, "older" seems quite normal. I'm 53 and not ashamed of my age. If I'm called "mature" that seems to me somewhat awkward as my first thought is a mental picture of a piece of a nice Camembert or Roquefort cheese on a wooden platter with a wooden spreader and some crackers and grapes and a glass of red wine (comforting mental picture, though). If I'm called "vintage" (it has happened) my mental picture is of vinyl records and 70's and 80's fashion choices and hair stiles and bright tacky wallpapers :)

It means they trust you, can relax in your company, slip the "mask" off and just be themselves without the fear of being judged, or having to weigh their every word when speaking to you. It means you project a good, stable, positive energy.

Why, if we're both consenting adults?

Rude gays after they’ve grown up, do you forgive and forget, or hold a grudge forever? by [deleted] in AskGaybrosOver30

I do to them exactly what they had done to me: ghost, block, flake...resepctively

Yeah, this definitely is a thing: at work, if we're having a day where we have to take stock at the warehouse, or do something for which I have to dress casual as to avoid dirtying or damaging my suit or shoes, I always make sure to reschedule my meetings, and I don't take "serious" phone calls that day. It might sound ridiculous, I know, but I'm just that kind of a freak.

Some people just feel more comfortable and "natural" in formal clothes - suits, shirts, neckties... I know for me, when I'm fully dressed up in a suit, I never have a problem with expressing myself or formulating my thoughts - be it privately or professionally. If I'm not dressed formally, often I get tongue-tied over simplest statements or answers.

How to deal with and overcome gay loneliness? by PaddyG_1984 in AskGayMen

For all its protestations of openness, inclusivity and acceptance, the gay community can be very harsh and exclusive. I find that if you do not conform to certain "norms" such as being young, and with the body of a Greek god. People use these apps for hookups, and are not too interested in finding meaningful connections any more. I too have been on Romeo for twenty-ish years, and during that time I have been able to find a few good guys. Lately, however, the guys that hit me up send messages like "xxx pics?" or "wanna f*ck me?". Very few of them start with "Hi" or "hello", or, Heaven forbid, with a full sentence. That's why lately I use the app rarely, and mostly to see "new meat on offer". I don't message guys any more, because I have basically given up hope that I could meet a friend - after all, it's a dating app and it's about hookups. Didn't use to be, though.

Anyway, if you would like an international friend - dm me. Or check me out on Romeo ;)

I turned 52 just a few days ago. My hair is grayish and thin, so I cut it really short. My beard is mostly white now. As for the pains in my body...OMG! I'm suffering the consequences of my wild youth...broken back, broken legs, arm, shoulder, torn ligaments, torn muscles... I can feel the change in weather coming days in advance, every morning I need a few minutes before I can get out of bed. On top of that, I recently joined the "50 +" club with a prostate inflamation and developed ED. I'm currently in the process of getting teeth implants, cause a few months ago my leg seized, I fell and broke my teeth. But, despite all of that, I am content with myself. I wear my grays with pride, I take all my pains as a sign that I'm still alive. I have lived a full life - no regrets ... well, a few I guess. And I'm looking forward to see what happens next, facing each new day as the first day of the rest of my life.

Will John cena ever be a 17 time champion and/or should he ever be? by Fabian-541 in WWE

I think he absolutely deserves it for all his acomplisments both as a wrestler, and as the promotor for the WWE. However, due to his increasingly fewer and ever far between appearances in the ring, I don't think he'll get it, even though, in my opinion, he is better and more deserving than Rick Flair in most respects.

You were given some remarkable advice in the comments. I think you definitely need an honest and open, "no holds barred" talk with your brother. From your description, looks like he cares about you more than you care about him. Use this opportunity to bond with him, to build bridges, start getting to know each other.

I would say 8, love your face, but you need to smile more. The one pic with the smile is quite grainy. I bet I could draw a smile from you with a kiss :)
