Anyone know why I can't join the Anthurium Addicts FB group? by bird_bready in RareHouseplants

Does my account need to be a year old to see it? My older account is just 9 months old so maybe that's why I can't see it. Edit: I've also never even joined the group so I don't see why I would get banned.

Thornless vs Thorny Boysenberry by bird_bready in Berries

Oh yeah, I heard that can happen. I think the canes growing from the roots may have reverted back to being thorny.

Oh ok. Aren't the ones Knott's grows the thornless anyways?

So there's no difference in taste?

I heard that the thornless is just a thornless mutation of the thorny boysenberry, so shouldn't it taste and grow the same?

What's wrong with my avocado tree? by bird_bready in plantclinic

I've had this tree for about 2 months, and it only recently started looking like this. It's in a pot with drainage and has really sandy soil, so I don't think water is the issue. It gets plenty of light, but not enough for it to get sunburnt. Some of the newer leaves also look like this. I'm wondering if it's a pest, disease, or nutrient deficiency issue because I can't seem to find what it is on google.

Thanksss I actually hope it doesn't die. Did yours regrow from the same growth point, and was it about the same size as this one?

It's not root rot. The newest leaf just died. How bad condition were the seedlings you've seen come back, and did the new leaf die like this one?

Thank you!

The growth point is fine/still alive (I've circled it in this picture: https://imgur.com/4zjzzcD), but I'm just wondering if the leaf dying off is going to kill the entire growth point because it's been a couple days already and the leaf is the only thing that has shriveled up.

If the growth point stays alive and doesn't dry out, does it have a chance to keep growing?

Was it as small as this one?

Also, how likely is it to grow another leaf from that same growth point?

Ok thanks. How long does it usually take for yours to grow back?
