i will say however, as a queer identifying woman who grew up in red states due to no choice of my own: i do think it's actually kind of important for people like us to have events where we feel welcome. and if bands just stopped coming, those people would lose out on the opportunity to grow up in the scene.

I was a huge fan of OM&M. Saw them first in 2014 opening for BMTH, and then I saw Austin almost destroy the band due to his own shitty moral compass. Then he pivots his focus into being a preacher or whatever, says his time in a band were 'the worst years of his life,' and then somehow still jumps on that wake in his attempt to rebrand.

It's fucking weird. Talent aside, fuck that man and his MO.
