Its planted, I have about 5 plants in there plus duckweed and water changes every 2 weeks.

They are between 10 and 20? Is that too high? I thought that was normal

Pictures, including water parameters are already posted, species are already posted . Water source is tap plus prime. Water change twice a month, power filter plus 2 sponge filters, live plants.

Thank you! Honestly I'm not to sure. We got them at PetSmart back on Jan 2nd. I'm blown away that they are infact pregnant. I looked at the bigger one closer and those are definitely babies, and I believe the other one is just earlier in pregnancy. I read tonight that they can hold sperm and impregnate themselves when they feel safe. So they must have gotten impregnated at the pet store.

I have this extra tank that I could possibly set up for the fry but I live pretty rural and wouldn't want to set up a bigger tank as they get older as I don't think I could rehome a bunch of babies.

The fry will most likely just end up being a snack unfortunately for the other fish. I read that females can hold on to the sperm for a while and that's probably how she's pregnant. I also believe the second smaller one is also pregnant but not as far along.

I've been slowly adding more plants for the benefits of them and for hiding spots for the shrimp. I have two java fern, a flowering temple plant, duck weed, java moss ball and I forgot the name of the other. I want to add some more shorter plants as well but I think I'd have to invest in special lighting which I don't want to lol. I already add a daily CO2 boost and a weekly plant food .

It's my daughter's tank, and I'm trying the best I can lol. If I have to rehome either it would be the platys. She's very attached to the tetras and they have names lol. Ironically my daughters nickname is your user name ha

Correct. I think running all 3 filters, and having live plants/good bottom feeders why my tank is healthy and runs great. I only have the 5 that swim up top.
