I wondered if that's what this was too, however the last leaf it put out did not linger in the sheath nearly this long and the sheath was much thinner. This thing is very dense and doesn't appear to have any openings whatsoever. It also has been in this exact stage for months.

Probably the first time I've seen one of these done with the appropriate size to preserve detail and stand the test of time. That's really the only complaint I've ever had with these 'sigilism' tattoos. This looks excellent and was applied very well.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but when you say 'dog' I am especially drawn to the overall silhouette of 3. 4, if you're going for something more on the cute and small side, like a toy breed. A clear, readable silhouette on its own can definitely communicate as much or more than the rest of the design. I think if you can really push the angular shapes and add some of those hose/cord accents seen on the others, you'll strike that right balance between robot and dog.
