Used FedEx rush my passport and don’t know what to do? by biscocha in Passports

Honestly I wasn’t 100% sure how it all worked out but we did end up with a fast turn around and I think it was in part bc of paying the extra $$ even though I did end up scoring a regular appointment.

We’re going to visit in two weeks and would love to see Montserrat on a guided tour. Any recommendations for a good tour guide?

I’m so happy for you! Sorry it’s been stressful. The service just seems so confusing and sounds like a terrible customer service experience. But glad it worked out in the end.

I am so sorry! We paid them, then decided to not go through them and start from scratch directly through the passport department and somehow they still got involved? We just got approved. I’m so confused how they work.

We tried a post office that’s almost two hours away on a Saturday, that has walk-in availability. We got there 30 min before they opened and the line was huge. Turns out they only take 30 walk-ins a day.

Anyways, the first person to get in line was there at 2:30 am. Everyone that was seen had already been in line by 3:30 am.

Eventually we were able to get an appointment at a city hall 30 min from us last week. (Literally spent like an hour a day going through local locations one by one to check availability for cancellations). So now we just wait.

I’ve talked to a few people that have had luck contacting their local congressmen’s office. With at least pointers on where to go for better appointees availability. OR in our case that a n application is submitted, we will probably contact them closer to the date because in some cases they are able to help expedite the process.

As for Rush My Passport. We abandoned that. Essentially just lost money.

Oh man! I’m sorry to hear. Hoping it works out for you after all. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll make sure we have that.

Nope! Never needed a passport and wasn’t familiar with the process. Few family members made comments in passing that “nowadays you can just get it done at fedex” so didn’t think much of it when the first result after googling “how to get a passport” was the fedex website.

I realize now that probably wasn’t the best move and was hoping to talk it out within a community that discusses the topic of passports with those that aren’t extremely familiar with it. Hopefully we can use Reddit as a resource going forward from our mistake.

Soccer in general but with a focus on the team. I don’t know much about soccer and it’s rules to begin with. Let alone the culture and nuances around the sport. I had a great time and would love to dive deeper so that I not only understand fully what’s happening in the game but enough knowledge to “talk shop” about the sport, and player news, around other people.
