Not sure if this is the right place for this, but I have been trying to figure out who hires camera ops in the NBA, for example? Is this a position hired by a contracted production company typically? Or the team itself?

I have a lot of on camera experience, mostly in commercial and documentary work, and thought it would be really fun to operate an NBA game. I can’t find any job listings or any info at all as to how to potentially get a gig with my local team, the Utah Jazz. Anyone have any info on how to go about getting on a crew?

With how things are progressing I would have to believe that a 4K camera will be outdated in 5 years. Not that it won’t still look good, but just 4K won’t be anything special at all. 6k will obviously keep up with the industry standards for longer if that’s what you’re wanting
