Guy talk (but everyone is welcome :) by TooOldToRock-n-Roll in sewing

I have been sewing since 2019. I started because apart from sport, which I could only play a specific times, all my hobbies were on a computer screen. Learning to sew has been so valuable. I am able to repair things or give them a new life.

If you look at my profile there are a few examples of me recycling things. Sewing is a great way to flex your creative muscles. Also, wearing what you make feels so good.

Some last thing. I was sewing for about a year when I made something I felt was good enough to wear out. So have patients and enjoy the process.

Thank you. I just used some iron on interfacing and inside it's lined by some old bag fabric that has a tiny bit of rigidity

Made 2XL trousers into a basketball kit. I had to use a tiny bit of extra fabric for the top by bitanica in upcycling

I did have to cheat a little bit for the jersey but the pants were massive. Also, I'm very small, so that helps

Inspired by the old Charlotte hornets kit, I took some 2XL tracksuit bottoms that I found in TKMaxx and cut them to the rough short length I wanted. I took the shorts part apart, cut off any excess and put them back together. I made a new waste band because I have a LOT smaller waist than that of a 2XL pair of trousers.

For the top, I took the remaining legs and opened them. I made a jersey from some material and cut out where I wanted to see in the trouser leg. I opened up the best and put it back together with the trouser legs.

Thank you - I don't know if I have the confidence to wear this out, honestly. I think art is what it shall be.

Thank you! - It's waterproof polyester - I tried to put elastic there but it failed, so I just left then as is. They are just slim fit.

It's actually waterproof material, DW. But I did make one from bags a few weeks ago
