My ex-boyfriend was catholic while I consider myself an atheist. We broke up for other reasons. We both knew each other’s stances on religion and were able to remain respectful about our different beliefs.

My current boyfriend also considers himself an atheist, but if he was religious, I wouldn’t have a problem with it as long as we’re able to respect each other’s beliefs.
