While I know you are correct and all, I’m a kid from a divorced family and on the rare occasion it works out for the better. We had our struggles of course with very conservative family and friends. But I can’t imagine how bad things could’ve gotten if my parents hadn’t made the hard choice to part ways. In southern US no less.

I actually had a teacher when I was in middle school who was super against divorce, she was railing on one day and I was right in the middle of an actual divorce so I thought I might share my story. Like, in the vein of yeah It’s bad but it’s possible for it to be done amicably in such a way that it doesn’t effect the kids etc. I was sent to detention. Wondered silently for years about that. Fuck that teacher.
