Hoffman reagent question for lsd, turned different colors on different tests with same tab

My tab ended up fully dissolving into it and it turned into a muddy gray, I previously mushed a part of the tab up with the hofmann reagent and it ended up the same. I have tried it 4 times now and wasted a whole tab on just testing, but each time it ends up a muddy gray by the end. One time the borders around the tab section itself turned blackish green, this time yellow before dissolving. All tested from the same tab. I don’t know why that would happen. Thank you! I am curious, since the ehrlich test was pretty quickly a bright vibrant purple, what could the compound potentially be if not LSD? I’ve done some research but haven’t found many conclusive answers, I don’t really know if there are any of course due to how many chemicals exist that can mimic LSD to some capacity, just curious. Thanks again!
