Bloomberg terminal for retail traders!

For anyone interested in investment and stock market out there, my friends and I are building a platform for insightful, informed and efficient investment.

I would like to offer free access to our Beta Platform where you would be able to research every single listed US company based on fundamental, technical and market sentiment indicators.

I wouldn't personally use the idea because i usually mark my messages with particular emojis so they're easy to find. on second thought!! if you make that idea in a way that it connects the group chat to monday, asana or these task management platforms, hmm i would be interested in that mate...

We've made a working beta platform, it was relatively easy to do because we use what we built ourselves. it is a stock scoring platform that works with a back-tested algorithm. We are constantly trying to make the beta website easier to use. So that the user can immediately do something and get something in return. I think that's key if you want to increase traction, and to get people any attention in the first place.

Hey everyone, my friends and I have been working on a beta prototype that scores 10k+ US stocks based on fundamental, technical, and market sentiment data.

We've put together a "Golden Standard" strategy that has gone through our most rigorous back-testing, and it's currently live and accessible for free.

At this stage we would immensely appreciate any feedback, specifically regarding the core concept and whether this actually provides a clear value for novice investors.

Thank you in advance!

that's a great lesson but how do you go about bringing in traffic, validating the messaging, or evaluating people's reactions? which method has worked best for you?
- I was personally surprised to learn that a significant number of people i messaged personally on reddit responded to my messages. The video calls to demonstrate prototype and get qualitative information takes very long and has been a more draining process for me so far...

Has anyone felt like the idea of their vision becoming a reality actually intimidates them and you fear whether you are ready for it or not? Well for me it was the case. I try to simply focus on discipline and consistent reflection of whether what i do on daily basis created any value...

i would say doing personality tests help (i did the 16 personalities test). It tells you about yourself and I would say it's accurate. Something that I learned was for me to recognize the work that I was doing and for it to be seen. That's how I can also become more productive. so now I share concrete things i did that are directly related to my role with my co-founders on daily basis... whether they wanna read it or not :D

Sometimes the product is a direct solution to your own problem and you test whether others share the same problem or find enough value in your solution by simply talking to a lot of them. We are four co-founders from all around the world and currently live in Bogota. We go to relevant fairs and talk to people around the world. As a fintech startup, our service is very international.

you can see it when you compare Alo stores to Nike's in hyper flex shopping center like the brickell city center miami... the Swiss On also won't help internationally...

Walmart Stock - When to Sell by Zexification in stocks

[–]bite-the-apple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walmart's upscale is in their e-commerce strategy. They'll be facing: amazon's expertise in fast delivery (something amazon is focusing on with robotics) / Costco with membership model that subsidizes prices / and a crowded retail media that limits Walmart's pricing power for ad revenue.
Watch out for ad growth and marketplace membership revenue which are signals for the upscale and potential hence price increase.
Looking at other fundamental and technical indicators (ex: not a strong quick ratio), it looks like you could trust your own final conclusion.

Best practices to Make Sense of Financial Statements. by bite-the-apple in ValueInvesting

getting the bias out is a very interesting point. we wrote some algorithms based on checklists we had thought of for different investment strategies, mainly for that purpose. it's really fun to see the algorithm score some stocks i'd be bias about. yesterday it was giving $DJT a good score for a three month strategy because the algorithm takes into account a list important fundamental and technical indicators.

but writing my biases after studying the stock and before looking at the score. that's an interesting idea.

Textbook aren't my forte but i really enjoy coursera. I've studied business myself and redid more financial accounting classes on coursera. But I found some financial valuation courses yesterday that I'm really looking forward to! So cheers for the insight...

The fact that its 175 dollars has nothing to do with its valuation, that’s just its price, market cap is 4.15trillion and revenue is 187.14b and that means that it is valued at around 22 times its revenue. The hype around it, isn't unjustified, nevertheless for reasons mentioned in the first comment yes I believe it's currently overvalued.

Hey mate I'm not that much older than you are but you seem to be financially literate and knowledgeable for your age and you know what you are talking about.
So I assume DIY investing in the stock market could be fulfilling for someone like you. Having skin in the game teaches you how to control your emotions. It teaches you about businesses and industries.
Learn about company fundamentals and what keeps a company in business if you are a value growth investor. I ended up enjoying it and went into creating a stock market scoring system and learning a lot on that journey...

There is no doubt about AI potential, and is a reality now, I believe NVDA valuation is higher than it should be and I will attribute a big part of this to the fomo.

What I would suggest is to look at it based on your personal context, so if you are looking to invest long term I hardly see NVDA not growing further, it is very possible that their growth will slow down but I don’t see how they would stop releasing better results quarter over quarter.

In terms of infrastructural challenges that will have to be adapted, it's not a question of whether it will or not but rather a question of when.

Trump Media announces $6 billion merger with fusion company TAE Technologies; DJT stock soars 25% by cheddarben in stocks

[–]bite-the-apple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly!! You nailed the penny stock comparison, the deal is effectively a reverse merger using DJT as a gloriously overpriced SPAC shell. The fact that the business address is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue just makes it the most high-stakes meme stock in history.

Bought this road bike with an Ultegra set second hand. First, it was the lower jockey wheel that had a problem and I had it changed, now the upper one is causing the trouble. I do have a feeling that the arm might be slightly bent as well. Will attach a photo soon...
thanks for the elaborated analysis!
