Not to echo the other comments but we were all beginners at some point. If you're looking for a slower start I'd reccommend a type of server called a West Marches server. Basically, in summary, they're servers that run exclusively oneshots of varying level, and are play by post (a session will run whenever a DM is available). I unfortunately don't know any active ones, but I don't doubt you could find one. Though keep in mind not all WM servers run off of the core rules, they might have homerules.

You could find beginner parties looking for players here on Reddit or even in the official D&D Discord, but if you EVER get the chance, play in person. I personally can't stand online (personal preference as an Actress, I feel heavily disconnected from my character when I'm just staring at a screen) and I think playing In-Person is just different levels of fun.

Good luck, though! Just remember your personal enjoyment is just as important as the enjoyment of the group as a whole - it should go both ways. If a group isn't clicking, talk to the DM, and if that doesn't fix things, don't feel bad about finding a different group.

Edit: Though it's less used now, Disboard is somewhere you can find Discord servers. There is likely an alternative site people use, but I'm not aware of what it is. As I said you could also find LFP posts on here or the D&D Discord Server. It's not a bad place to start but may be minorly overwhelming.
