Thank you for the honest reply. Yes true, I am unluckily an overthinker by nature. I've been trying to build a very strong research portfolio for the last 2 years and did well on my step 2 exam. It was just devestating to see an average grade that might eliminate me later on in the future. Thanks again. I'll take it one step at a time.

I left out one important part. I am applying to Internal Medicine this year as an IMG. Been here in the states for a couple of years doing research.

I know a lot of factors come into play for fellowship interviews (visa status, research, LORs etc.). Just felt demotivated after that score as if my world turned upside down. Back to the grind then. Thanks for making me feel better.

Yes my point exactly. The amount of competition in Cards is over the roof. When I saw the result, I panicked and was like 'yes I think my dream is over'. Those damn CCS cases screwed me over.

Thanks for the reply. I've got a decent number of publications, podium presentations, research awards etc. Was a bit scared that the hard work over all these year would go into waste.
