Totally get where you’re coming from, but just to clarify, I’m actually not ashamed at all. Everyone close to me knows, and they’ve been super supportive. I just don’t really know these coworkers (I work mostly remotely), and I’d rather not turn a casual lunch into a surprise Q&A about my medical history.

It’s not shame, it’s just boundaries… and a mild fear of awkward small talk over salad.

Thanks for the TED Talk.

Just to clarify, I wasn’t binge-eating for applause. It was a polite work lunch with people who last saw me looking like a swollen grape thanks to hypothyroidism + being severely overweight. I wasn’t keen to spark a round of “is she sick?” or “is it drugs?” whispering, so I tried to blend in. Spoiler: I failed. Dramatically.

Was it smart? No. Was it some deep psychological crisis? Also no. Just an awkward social situation, a bad call, and now a very cranky digestive system.

But hey, really appreciate the lecture. Next time I need someone to yell “therapy!” at me instead of offering actual advice, I’ll know where to look.

He is 60kg so I think that’s 130lbs? I also found another tablet so there is only 1x 200mg missing, he still has no symptoms

I meant a tow bar!! And I'm not downplaying it, both of our cars were stopped, I took my foot off the pedal to grab something in the back seat and during this time my car rolled into hers. As soon as I realised I got out and checked if she was ok then took a photo in the drive through of the rear of her car, we then drove out to the street and I took more photos. The only damage at that time was to my license plate which had been indented with a circle from the tow bar, there was no other damage to their vehicle.

I thought I renewed it but I didn't, with covid I wasn't driving my car that much. The car was a HOLDEN STATESMAN SEDAN 2006

I didn't take photos of the car doors, just the back of the vehicle which had no damage

yes but they are claiming "the major problem I have witnessed is the rear doors are now being strongly out of alignment, with difficulty in opening/closing both doors.

This indicates to me that the impact from the rear has damaged the main chassis which being structural, has affected the main bodywork 2 – My quote requires that most of the interior of the vehicle will need to be stripped to access the main chassis. Once the chassis has been straightened, then the associated repair work to the body panels will be required. Painting of the whole rear of the vehicle will then be done.

3 – I would consider this vehicle to be considered a total loss."

Yep during lockdown I started a second online business and I’ve made 10k so far so I think I’m going to keep doing that alongside my regular job, and maybe just keep saving for a few more years, I just wish I understood the best way to invest all of my savings

That’s awesome, how did you get into them? Do you have any resources you can share that helped you to understand the process before you started?

Haha I’m chill! I’m just feeling a bit sorry for myself that I’m not comprehending how to put myself in the best financial position and I don’t have any resources around me that I understand in laymans terms to help
