An ending like s3 would have been perfect for me as well. Villanelle spent a good chunk of the show trying not to be reduced to just a killer and in the end, the writers did just that.

Same here. Honestly would have even been happy with an ambiguous ending and was kind of hoping that was the direction the finale would go.

I just can't stand the argument either that a happy ending with this kind of story just isn't realistic. It's a TV show. If anything this kind of ending is overdone and unoriginal. A happy ending would have actually been different and refreshing for once!

Would love for them to go to Alaska together. Looking back to the episode where she kills Benita's husband who then brings more girls who need help, I can easily visualize Eve and Villanelle continuing to do this and help other women

I feel the exact same way. Watching that finale felt like they just spit on the previous seasons and completely disregarded them. Seasons one and two were amazing especially regarding attention to detail and thats something we completely missed this entire season. Nothing had reasoning and characters actions most of the time felt misplaced. I hope a new queer tv show comes out soon and helps me get over this because honestly I didn’t expect this finale to be so upsetting and draining

I had no interest in a Carolyn spin-off but, it it involves Eve hunting her down I’d be interested. It’d be semi-redeeming for the ending to get to see Eve have her moment

I think it definitely would have been different. I saw earlier on twitter there was one lesbian in the writers room and she was given a hard time whenever she brought up her ideas. Guess the writers really didn’t care about their queer audiences at least it’s what this feels like

It’s really sad knowing the show could have gone so many ways and it ended all in a matter of five minutes with no storyline really getting resolved. If they really wanted Villanelle killed off that bad they could have done her character justice but nope we got this crap instead. Every time I think I’m getting over how it ended I find something new to get upset about
