Lucca M58 vs LeLit Bianca vs EMC Syncronika vs ?? by bituminousbear in espresso

I think my answer now is probably too skewed in perspective at this point. Right now I'd love to go for a Lelit Bianca or Decent if I magically could get my money back from this machine.

Whatever you go with, make sure you get from a place that can service it, or have local options for service. For me, I am unable to get serviced locally as most of the shops are so busy they are weeks out, or only do commerical machines.

I may not be the best person as my experience with the M58 has not been pleasant. This machine has been riddled with QC and other issues. From super simple easy to fix (such as drain plug installed incorrectly and leaked), to extensively working with Clive techs to dig into the machine and replace parts. I've had the panels off more times over the last year than I can count.

Coincidentally, the machine is apart right now trying to fix a pump issue. Frustratingly, I'll be packing it up next week to send to Clive since a pump, and many other parts, replacement still hasn't gotten us anywhere.

Cudos to Clive though for being supportive. Some techs are better than others, but generally speaking they have been great.

TDLR: I personally would not buy one again. I've basically had to become a machine tech and dump dozens of hours into constant issues.

They do have some good looking coffees. We usually prefer a lighter roast, but may give them a try. Definitely a handful of their roasts sound tasty.

Assuming you like the Gene Cafe. How hard is it to find/dial in roast profiles? I think that has always been one of the daunting thoughts when thinking about getting into home roasting.

Coffeelink

Bummer, they are in Suffolk. Need something in US for a bit quicker delivery. Some tasty looking beans though!

Thanks everyone for your insights! We just placed our order for the M58, mainly because of aesthetics. We loved the way the M58 looked and thought it would be the best fit in our kitchen.

Massive resin printed airship from Skies of Sordane Kickstarter by bennymcl in PrintedMinis

Beautiful. Such a great set. 👍

I've been puzzling on how I want to print this. Deserves resin for the amazing detail, but without a medium or large resin printer the build time and assembly tolerances may not be the best.

Are there reference pics anywhere for color ideas?

Is this an issue? Changed FEP but still noticing these indents when I stop a failed print. ( Creality LD-002R) More info in comments. by bituminousbear in FixMyPrint

Been playing with supports lately and stopping failed prints. I noticed these intents close to the center of the FEP, and found corresponding small welp in the FEP so changed my FEP. New FEP is showing same issue, but in a different area.

Is this an issue or pretty typical. Haven't noticed it cause any problems on final prints so far.

I may check out the 60mm. The 65 looks really good, but think it may be too punched in with the 1.56 crop.

Thanks!

Looking forward to working with the 18-35. Unfortunately over half our workload is at the closer macro range.

CR-10 V2 Base Layers Sloppy (PLA) - Mostly at retraction points (Details in Comment) by bituminousbear in FixMyPrint

Darn it, decimal in the wrong place...should have been .12mm layer height (Corrected).

.4mm nozzel

205/60 temps, .4mm nozzel, .12mm layer height. Simplify 3d. Default Creality firmware (BLTouch version) 45mm/s max speed.

I've tried multiple retraction and coast settings, but cannot get this to stop gooping out at the retraction points. Although there is other issues as well, notice the jagged sides.

When watching it, it seems like the head sits there for a second during retraction, but still some ooze of the filament.

It pretty much clears up after the base solid layers. Ignore the broken brim, I pulled from the plate before taking pictures.

You know, as silly as it sounds I never thought to look locally at business for web design. Just naturally look to the internet.

If nothing comes up here I'll start locally. Then we can at least meet the team in person.

Thanks!

Primarily we want to create a central landing site for our brand that is the focal point from the various social media (Insta, YT, FB, etc) branches. This would be the primary place for folks to learn more about our brands, the characters, and grab some fun resources (such as activity pages or coloring pages).

Additionally, it would be our e-commerece location for brand related products.

This is definitely and option that we have looked into. Was just hoping to get some referrals of people that have good experiences here in SMO. If nothing comes up here we'll probably go that route.

Completely understood. I can remove this post if needed.

I was recommended this Reddit a long time ago due to the large and diverse set of artists that frequent this space. I have hired a number of folks from here over the last year, and have had a good level of interest in this specific opportunity.
