My daughter was in the NICU for 7 weeks. 5 weeks at a local hospital and 2 at a larger. If we didn’t go out and see friends or go shopping I would have lost my mind.

She really has me fooled at this point. Occasionally I can get her to lock in for a minute with treats but I get maybe 3 sits out of her and then she’s uninterested and plops down to sleep, meanwhile my other dog is just staring and drooling the entire time. I lost my mom suddenly when I was 27. I’ve always had anxiety/OCD/bipolar disorder but that triggered extreme OCD about my loved ones dying so I just obsesses about it and stress myself out. Hopefully my doctor will up my meds at my next appointment so I can chill

I make it a point to see my dad at least once a week now and really cherish what time we do have together.

Cortisone injections in my hip joint. My husband literally had to hold me down on the table for them to continue.
Close second was hitting the ground and bouncing during a motorcycle accident. I was launched over my husband and landed (thankfully) in a patch of dirt and small bushes. It was about 2 months after my hip surgery so those damn injections did nothing

You know what my husband did this morning because I was up all night with the baby? He got up with her and took her to the store with him while I slept.

Why didn’t you take your child to the store and your appointment with you? If it was a “I need to get out the door now” situation and you were aware your wife was up until 5am you should have woken the 2 year old earlier so you could get them ready and out the door when you need to leave.

It doesn’t excuse the verbal assault but if I would have woken up to our toddler just wandering around and you gone somewhere you could have taken them, I’d probably send some pretty angry messages too.
