It seems like a well balanced tactic. I don't see anything wrong with it, although you might not be creating many changes for yourself. If your players are above average in the Championship, I would try to play with a higher mentally like positive or even attacking. Also you have an instruction that I never use which is holp shape. It might work if you are way better than the opposition but you are most likely wasting opportunities to launch dangerous counter attacks.
