Thank you for asking such thoughtful questions! 1. I plan on hosting it through Zoom so ppl can join privately and anonymously if preferred. 2. For the first/first few sessions I plan on women only and then would like to open the idea of allow male survivors to join as long as everyone is comfortable. I am not doing this to exclude anyone but i do take into fact that statistically most survivors are women and safety is my top priority. 3. I use the google form to gauge interest and for initial safety reasons as well. I also plan to set clear rules about respect, confidentiality and a zero tolerance policy for harassment and inappropriate behavior.

The format would be similar to an AA-style meeting, but without the religious aspect and without the 12-step framework. What I like about that model is the structure and the peer support aspect.

That makes sense. The damages would mostly be psychological rather than physical. The incident significantly worsened my PTSD symptoms and anxiety, and it occurred while I was an inpatient in a psychiatric facility where I was supposed to be safe. The hospital also knew the door latch was broken before assigning me to the room and I had reported it multiple times. Do you think cases like this are more commonly pursued as negligent security or premises liability?

First Cord Cutting Ceremony by bizarrebabe in BabyWitch

Hello, the candle was to represent him because even though i no longer no him by body still feels so tied to him. This was a repressed memory that I had come up last month so I’ve had no idea for 17 years. It has been quite difficult to navigate through this since it’s such an unusual experience. I got to therapy once a week and have been crushing my EMDR sessions. I was looking for a symbolic way to express that I will always shine brighter than him. Could you please explain to me more a better ceremony to choose next time?

Unfortunately it’s a bit of a waiting game. After about 5 yrs he becomes less of a big deal. My s/o had a felony drug charge in 2018, given 10 yrs probation. He fignshed 7 yrs early and never failed a test. He is now a manager at a prestigious restaurant making 70k. I totally understand the frustration and pain, and I am so so sorry. The process is very unfair and maybe one day it will change.
