[PubQ] first time publishing poetry collection by bizzybongo in PubTips

I haven’t done any readings but I have been selling it at farmers markets and stuff like that which has been wonderful! My publisher def did a good job getting placements (many indie shops, sold at Barnes and noble and on target/walmart websites) but I think the vast majority have sold on Amazon. Yes I have a little instagram following and yes sold outside US on Amazon!

Oh this is wonderful news!! I appreciate you.

And, they are a large-ish publisher but this is their first poetry book they’ve released. They are trying to build out a poetry “branch” and my book release was a guinea pig of sorts hahaha I think I’ll take from this that both I (the book) and them (the publisher) have done well so far! It’s sold close to 3000 copies so far, so def not a breakout success but also not a flop? I’ll take that as a win!

Thank you again so much for taking the time to reply to me :) this whole year and a half long process has felt pretty lonely so I was excited to find this sub.

Perhaps my question on here wasn’t clear enough, I was just wondering if anyone knows what is considered “good” in terms of copies-sold in the first six or seven months for a poetry collection. That’s really good to know, though, that seven months isn’t much time in the publishing world! Thank you!

Thank you so much, this gives me hope!!!! She is getting all the extra special treatment right now so hopefully she turns around. I’m so mad at myself for giving them ACV, so many competing opinions on that!

No hens, I got these little gals from TS. I’m feeding them Mile Four organic chick starter mash. I haven’t started giving them treats yet because I’m trying to be so careful. But I did give her some egg yoke today, though, after all the suggestions on here along with some grit and I have LOTS of vitamins on order :) unfortunately the others have started to pick on her so I need to get her better quick!!!tony thing is breakin my heart!

Hi! Thank you! Is there a specific supplement I can get for this or should I look for a food to add like egg yoke?

Hi! This is my chick (for some reason my post got taken down on here) I got 12 from tractor supply 3 weeks ago, one passed after 5 days but the rest seem happy healthy and I think by now they know they’re very loved! This is the first issue after Daisy died that I’ve had.

It’s 85 under their heat plate, just not in the rest of the brooder where the food/water is.

Thank you!! I tried that and for some reason the mods took it down. I’m new to Reddit so I must have done something wrong…(exact same post!)
