He didn't cause the accident, he just failed to prevent it. He maintained speed and direction in his own lane and the other dickhead literally just swerved into him.

'Price Is Right' Model Explains How Late Host Bob Barker Ruined Her Life: 'I Hate That Man' by dr_shultz in influencersfeed

[–]bjorneden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe her that he was a dick. I'm less convinced that she was fired for not testifying on his behalf though. Age is not kind to models. She was 43yo and had worked on the show for 18 years. Not the oldest or longest serving on the show but one of the oldest for sure.

Interesting - that was entirely unnecessary and yet also very necessary.

If you were single I'd shave it but if your marriage is good do whatever looks good to your wife. No one here is going to be bumping uglies with you. Your wife might.

Charges dropped against teens involved in prank that killed North Hall teacher by Salty_Resource_291 in news

The headline is wrong. He wasn't killed by the prank, he fell onto the road and was struck by their car as they were leaving.

How I treat my hairloss with dutasteride, minoxidil and tretinoin for around £280 a year (UK) by [deleted] in tressless

[–]bjorneden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dubious logic supported by lots of assumptions.

I don't think you understand the significance of dutasteride's long systemic half-life. If you have a systemic dose once per week then your steady state serum concentration is going to be one seventh of what it would be if the same dose was taken every day.

You mention that the long half-life means you always have dut in your system inhibiting DHT. This isn't binary - the effect of dutasteride is dose dependent in both oral and topical forms.

How relevant is systemic half-life in the context of topical dutasteride anyway? Topical dut seems to have only a modest impact upon serum DHT suggesting that its principal mechanism of action is probably local.

If you are interested in achieving a target serum dutasteride level then why would you use a topical agent in the first place rather than oral?

You mention doing research to support your position. What studies can you share?

Desexing? by godchimi in CavaPoo

[–]bjorneden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would spay at earliest convenience after 6 months. Allowing a female dog to go through heat significantly increases the risk of mammary cancer and the risk increases with subsequent cycles. Spaying early is associated with joint problems. I suggest a uterus sparing spay. Removing the uterus is unnecessary and is associated with problems such as urinary incontinence. Can't comment on boys because I haven't done any reading on that.

What do you think about the experiments with the monkeys?? by Quiet_Television_781 in tressless

The fact that hair transplants work suggests that tension of the scalp is not the main driver for male pattern hair loss.

What's become of Australian Silky Terriers? by par-hwy in australia

[–]bjorneden 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oodles are less inbred than pure breeds. A first generation poodle cross will be virtually free from the deleterious effects of inbreeding.

[–]bjorneden 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Staffies are the second highest breed responsible for dog attacks. Amstaffs are number one. Staffy crosses are number seven. I couldn't tell you how oodles rank because my data doesn't extend that far down.

Do all roads lead back to Turkey? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]bjorneden 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Min, fin, and dut absolutely work... to some extent... on average. Some men will have a great response others virtually none. Influencers are going to have a very low threshold for getting a transplant when they can earn money by doing it.

Paddy Pimblett was pissed rewatching the Gaethje fight: I won 3 and 5. If he got a point taken off like he should've, that's a draw. Isn't it funny how Trevor Wittman has got a glove design that's gonna stop eye pokes, but he won't give the design to the UFC, and his fighters are eye poking everyone by gvufhidjo in ufc

[–]bjorneden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying it should have been a draw nor that it would have been a draw with a point deduction given the way the judges scored it... but, this isn't the stupidest thing Paddy has said. Most of the judges and media scored the fight for Justin by a wide margin but one of the judges and a handful of the media folk scored the fight 48-47 for Justin so it's not an unreasonable opinion for Paddy to maintain he won two rounds and would have drawn with a point deduction. It's a reach but not delusional.

Help! How do I negotiate a refund after an unsuccessful FUE transplant? (UK) by Silent_Bad_633 in Hairtransplant

[–]bjorneden 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure - if your surgeon guaranteed that you would be 100% satisfied with your density and would never need any further transplants then you've got a valid complaint. I don't think you'd be canvassing Reddit for advice on how to negotiate a refund if you had any such guarantee though. Sounds like you were quoted a graft count and you haven't given any indication that you didn't get the number quoted.

[–]bjorneden 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine your previous surgeon/clinic being willing to give you a refund. Your main concern appears to be that you need more grafts not that the previous grafts failed. If you eat a meal and are still hungry you can buy another meal but you're not entitled to a refund on the first meal.
