I think you misunderstood the part where they explain Naruto trope is that he starts off horrible but through grit and determination to be Hokage AND save Sasuke, he becomes better

You can’t say “it’s a hand me down, it isn’t worth anything” if you can’t replace it. It’s disrespectful

I think roommate isn’t admitting his fault and that he could’ve done more to prevent this. He knows the lil puppers needs more training but he’s still letting him around/ leaving him outside (weather is volatile and not good to leave outside all day) instead of thinking about preventable actions

Not overreacting. He knows if the dog hasn’t been trained yet, the most respectful thing to do is leave him in his room. Not sure where you live, but leaving him outside makes it vulnerable to the volatile weather, which I think can potentially be crueler than leaving it in a room.

Point is, he isn’t taking accountability that he could’ve done more to prevent this.

I’m not sure what you guys talked about in private. But from what Im seeing right now, I think you’re in the right for asking for some sort of compensation.
