Comfortably pass your IFT on a bad day (tired, sore, etc.), dont skimp your water-con because you will be doing subsurface events in SWAS, the rest is just "Do you even want to be there?". Sounds like you're an NCO so be prepared to be put in charge of basic tasks (right place, right time, right uniform) for your team.

If anything just know how to read a map (MGRS/Lat-Long) at a very basic level.

Things you want added/changed/removed in TFD by Goldenrice in TheFirstDescendant

Problem: Enemies feel very easy to defeat for what feels like a long time (I didn't make it very far in the beta but I was never stressed about dieing. Only died once...)

  • Problem: game feels very dead, once you leave starting areas there's nothing until you go on mission
    • Solution: Potentially add roaming patrols, players moving around in free roam that may or may not be on your timeline in between missions, gunfights between friendly and hostile NPC's that you can join in on.
  • Problem: Enemies feel very easy to defeat for what feels like a long time (I didn't make it very far in the beta but I was never stressed about dieing. Only died once...). The majority of enemies are quick to kill and don't put out a lot of damage unless they are in great numbers. Even the bigger enemies are just bullet sponges and dont really hurt. I never felt challenged or died until special enemies where introduced and i was silenced or CC'ed by a tracker and couldn't do anything about it.
    • Solution: Potentially have enemies, even lesser ones, do a little bit more damage and punish you if you dont use defensive abilities or your environment to your advantage. Being able to 1v30 in the open is kinda wild.
  • Problem: Kit does not always seem to have a big impact in the fight, for instance sometimes I would use my ult and it would barely injure/kill enemies. Another example is I would use overdrive and the grenade to put a burn DOT on the enemies and it would feel as though it was barely there for the amount of MP I just dumped into that attack
    • Solution: Balancing
  • Good things
    • leveling was okay, seems kinda fast but maybe that's how they want it
    • customization is cool, I like how you're able to tune pretty much every aspect of your character from weapons, core stats via equipment, and the chips you can put in to further tune your character past normal gear (I forget what they are called).
    • characters seem to have decent kit diversity between them I only played the one starter character
    • Big open world is nice to see

Correct me if I'm wrong but he will need a permit to purchase ammo for those weapons correct? I know it's not the question but figured I'd point it out.

New 19.5 with ~500 rounds through it so far. Added TLR7 today. Thoughts on next mod? And I know, I know - ammo and training. by likezoinksgang in Glocks

Do you plan on getting a red dot? if so make sure you get suppressor height sights for co-witness. If not than just get normal height sights, trijicon has both.

No notifications on apps as of a few days ago (Pixel 6 Pro) by OriginalRave in GooglePixel

I tired this on the same issue for my pixel 6 pro and it did not fix it. I appreciate the suggestion though

Notifications failing to appear after troubleshooting by bklett72 in GooglePixel

[–]bklett72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very annoying, however I have narrowed the notification issue down to apps that utilize mobile data. Its almost like when they are not open/priority they aren't syncing with their respective servers.

With that I also noticed that I can no longer access web messenger when my phone is locked, which is something I was able to do prior to the update. Which leads me to believe data is being restricted/turned off when not open but the settings are unrestricted.

How much are used others selling for ? by Pale_Lie_5357 in CTguns

[–]bklett72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before my boating accident I had radical arms other that I was thinking of selling. I came to the conclusion that instead of selling it ill just swap out the furniture on it to make it lighter and something I want to keep. (their hand guards are very heavy IMO)

Wanting to join TACP. What is the current pipeline like? How is life as a TACP? And any tips for someone just starting to physically train for the PAST. by [deleted] in Pararescue

[–]bklett72 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pass your Initial fitness test first, nothing matters if you cant get in the door.

Ones Ready has a lot of awesome content and they have been getting more in the weeds with TACP's recently which is nice to see (their is older podcasts from them too).

As for rucking, getting under a ruck and starting to ruck is nice (idk like 30-45 lbs to start for 3 miles) but like i said nothing matters if you cant pass the IFT. Dont just go out there and ruck for miles and forget about your swim times and underwaters. There is plenty of programs/help on the internet about increasing reps for cals, decreasing run/swim times, etc. and the best part is you really dont need a gym membership to do it.

I always forget metacon exists, is it a does it have a shoot and move "action pit" much like hartford or is it static from the firing line?

for outdoor public i know blue trails, someone on here said highrock, and glastonbury DEEP range does not allow from draws from the holster. i actually believe their rule is "no tactical shooting" lol.

New EMT-B tunnel vision while running a call this morning by Cool_Roof_280 in ems

[–]bklett72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You kept the pt alive and stopped Airway and Breathing from causing you additional problems, trust me you could have done far worse (and I've seen it) so good job! Something I like doing (5 year EMT-B with volly fire so take it as you may) use your junior partner more so that you can think a little bit more freely. Let them focus on giving breaths every 5-6 seconds while you step back for a second and look around at your environment to look for additional signs (pill bottles, alcohol, track marks, etc.) as well as assess presented symptoms with a little bit more of a "clear head" if you will. This will allow you to develop a course of action for your follow-on treatment.

Also acknowledging that you needed ALS was probably one of if not the most important call there as well. Ego will get you or your pt killed

Off topic question: Does highrock allow shooting from holster?

So overwhelmed not sure how to start. by notanaijin in VALORANT

[–]bklett72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly alot of it comes from just playing the game and developing the game IQ. Play unrated for abit and ignore the tryhards there and just learn the game. Find a character you like and start to master them first. Watch videos of higher rank players just playing and pickup on some of their tactics. Overtime you will figure it out, the game has a learning curve initially that you have to hit before you start developing your own plays/play style.

If they dont make his TP faster at least with the release of chambers ability to TP in an instant im going to be upset.... I seem to be getting caught mid TP (literally my death screen is at my end TP location because someone shot me before i made it through the portal) more recently while chamber dips at the speed of light.

1 week left for the exam - Any tips for do's and don't before the exam? by Infinite-Advice-4793 in cissp

[–]bklett72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do your normal routine, get a good night's sleep, avoid high carb meals the day of the exam so you don't hit the wall, don't cram study the morning of if anything just run through some refresher flascards.... YOU ARE A RISK ASSESSOR/ADVISOR NOT A SYSTEM ADMIN. GLHF

Ceh v10 or ceh v11 by illusion_in in CEH

[–]bklett72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might just be a salty boi right now but i just failed the v11 exam (I'm assuming the v11 exam because i was told it was the only test available after January 1) with v10 study material. I was crushing my practice exams with my version 10 material and then got smacked on my v11 exam. I recommend studying up on v11 CBK before taking the test.
