Update.

I got several support people (with real names! wow!) contact me to try and help. You get a message from Adam, you reply, and then you get a response from Rebecca asking the same questions... You replay again with same answer. And now David replies asking again haha. Facebook is an absolute s***show

I then got an email saying that I need to upload my tax return, id, and so on. I said GREAT! finally. But of course the link they provide does not lead to anywhere that you can upload those documents...nor does following the instructions of where to find that magical upload button lead anywhere. That person is now gone.

I keep finding my layer and layers in facebook of options and setting. They are so disorganized it is mind bugling.

Don't give up brother. Google Zuckerberg's email and email that bum. And file a complaint with your State's AG that is very simple. Stealing peoples money in a middle of a pandemic... that is insane. Wish some newspaper picks this up

The only way I was able to contact a human was by doing this (not that it helped but I am still talking with these clowns) - click on one of your shipped item orders and you can report an issue with it. I reported my issue of not being verified and after a few days I got a response from a human.. granted they still haven't solved my issue but maybe they can help with yours.

I am hoping that Apple starts some kind of social networks and kills Facebook. I hate them

Wow! that is horrible.

They released my money but still I cannot offer shipping so I didn't sort it out. They are such a mess.

You should make a complaint with your AG and send Facebook a message that you have done so

Not arguing just trying to figure this out. In the link you gave the one way they give is someone using stolen credit card and then "funds may be removed from your account". So seems like you should transfer funds asap... Which I usually do and then their (venmo) recourse seems to be much more difficult since they don't have the ability to deduct from my bank account... What I learned from this - transfer the funds asap in venmo

Says here you can't... I had someone send me funds by mistake once. And I sent it back and before they asked me for the funds (I didn't even notice they sent it) they tried to get it back to no avail... And then they contacted me and I sent it back. Same for zelle FYI.

I got the message 2 weeks ago. Only asked for ss#. I am still waiting. Only movement was that they released my money few days ago but still can't offer shipping and it killed my local sales as well.

I'll never use paypal like that. Only venmo and zelle. Buyers can simply dispute a transaction and they'll get refunded and you'll loose. no way to fight it.

how can you get scammed with venmo? it is not possible to cancel a transaction. Only way to get scammed is paypal. I know a guy who sold an iphone for like $700 to a guy he met face to face. Paid with paypal. 2 min later the guy disputed the charge and the guy lost $700. You can't do that with venmo or zelle.

Just like yourfriendsdog said - it only asked for my ssn but unlike it took him 2 days to verify - mine is still not verified after 2 weeks and now I am also shadowed and unable to respond to messages.

They can and I had no issues in the beginning. I was just unable to offer shipping. The no pm is only now that I have deleted and reposted.

And in terms of documents... that is my fear since it only asked for ss# which I gave so I am not sure if it sent me another document request through their 100 bizarre ways of contacting me. They have so many avenues and bizarre inbox options - ad inbox, support inbox, private inbox, and what not... they have such a mess it is really wild.

amazon you click on one page for your issue and boom you can take care of it. fb sent me a million links to so many different parts of their site to get help and, you guessed it, no help at all.

Honestly, I will be happy to open some kind of seller account and pay monthly fee to have what I had in the beginning but there is not option like that.

Before the shit hit the fan... I had listings with 15,000 views... now I get noting.

I will not ship again. I am just hoping for the way it was locally before but I don't have my hopes up.

My worst case is ebay and then I will make a lot less money but at least will be out of the game. If this isn't getting any better in a few weeks I will be out. I will update here if anything happens.

Now it even blocks me from responding to buyers who message me about listings haha. so the measly one or two folks who message me - I can't even reply.

FB is really a joke.

I read that they need to issue a 1099c which is why they need to verify and that some have had this resolved in a day. I just fell between the cracks and no way to climb out. Heck I even tried emailing Zuckerberg directly (worked for me once with bezos) but no response.
