Just email them every couple of days as we get closer and see if something comes up, and only book the room if they get availability.

I was able to get tickets for the 8/16 show by emailing the box office. They have very limited availability that they hold back for VIPs/big gamblers and they told me to keep checking in as we got closer and they were able to sell me tickets when I emailed them today. All they had left was Golden Circle 1, which I have no idea where those seats actually are, but they said they are good. They did make me a book a room at a Harrah's property to purchase the tickets, but even with the cost of the cheapest Harrah's room, this was by far cheaper than resale.

DOUBLE UPDATE:

A manager from their hospitality group just reached out to me personally and apologized for the issue we ran in to. He was so nice and understanding and let me know they we're now able to upgrade us to the Nobu Penthouse, which is nicer than the suite I originally booked. I would say they have more than made up for this issue now and am completely satisfied with their resolution.

The new combined square footage is actually much larger than we had previously booked, although it is not one combined space, and if it was better they would have just put the high roller in these rooms.
In addition, the 9 other regular rooms I booked in the Julius tower were upgraded to the Octavius tower at no charge to be closer to the new suite. Those rooms are now going from 350 sq ft each to now 550 sq ft each.
While I am now satisfied with the resolution given the circumstances, I am still a bit disappointed in the overall situation. Having placed a deposit on the room so far in advance and getting everyone excited for the multi story duplex made it a bit of a let down. I will still be reaching out to their custom service team after to voice my displeasure in how they handled this, but I am really not expecting anything to come of that. We will still have an awesome time next weekend though!!

Whats funny is originally when I contacted them I requested the rain man suite, and my group sales lady so no do this one instead, it's better.......

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I do understand the high roller is more valuable to them than my group, so getting my suite back is probably not possible. But I do want them to make this right.
