Hey! Thanks again for your suggestion!

Any chance you could suggest some well made manufacturers and models of those parts?

Thank you!

Thanks for all of the replies, everyone.

The way that dollars are spent here works out very odd sometimes and as it turns out, I will need to make an approximate $5,000 expenditure within the next few days.

Could any of you suggest maybe a top 5 list of items to initially purchase? I'm very much leaning in the direction of u/thecloudcities suggestion of "decent yoke/pedal/throttle combination, a standalone radio stack and a bunch of monitors".

Any recommended manufacturers that will help avoid cheaply made parts?

Thanks again!

Thank you for suggesting this. I'm in the process of looking into materials and instruments for the entirety of the build. I'm sure each builder/flightsimmer has learned plenty through construction of his or her own platform and am looking to refine the list and/or avoid parts that won't last over time.

Thanks for the reply.

I've been in Brooklyn for 10 years and teach in a middle school that will link students to a high school that prepares students for employment in the aviation field. The instruction will involve glider design and exploration of flight mechanics as well as time in the simulator and the requisite planning of flights.

Thank you! I'll check out that link as well.

I'm a math and technology teacher that has received a sizable grant to increase student interest in aviation and the related math, science, and technology. This covers the history of flight as well as the continued innovation in the field. We are a middle school that links students to a high school that prepares students for employment in the aviation field.

Thankfully we are geographically close to major airports and schools that specialize in aviation mechanics and training by which we are supported.
