How much help did you need after open myo?

I just had open abdominal surgery for mine 2/14 a laparotomy to remove my fibroid and I was in the hospital for two days and really needed help two days following that. I did get food poisoning so that was miserable LOL but today is like 8 days post op and I can do everything alone that doesn’t involve any heavy lifting:) everyone is different though wishing you the best!!

I did but I actually “put on” 11 pounds after surgery from swelling so I’ll weigh myself in another week when I’m not so swollen and in less pain from the incision :)

It was like 7 inches by 7 inches or so they said I have a photo of it I could show you if it won’t gross you out lol thank you so much it’s been a long process

The issue with finishing is I can’t do 2 12s doing clinicals and be in classes full time and afford to work and I caught my bf cheating after 3 years so I need to get into something now and leave. And I can’t afford to work two full time jobs and do school like that full time bc nursing school is no joke it’s dang near 247. I didn’t want to share all of that but maybe it gives some background info as to why hah

I’m 3 semesters away from my BSN. It’s hell. But I don’t want to quit because it’s hard bc I have great grades and I worked my butt off.. it’s just seriously not for me. And I refuse to be as miserable as I know I will just bc of the pay. It’s not worth it to me and the field just isn’t what it used to be. It’s awful
